Sendo M550 great value for money

Advantages: Small, smart, stylish,inexpensive and entertaining
Disadvantages: scratches easily

...I have had my Sendo M550 for nearly a year now, I went to Tesco to update my old brick of a Nokia and was very pleased when I could afford a flip up phone. It is smaller than a credit card and has an internal ariel so it's very stylish and has no bits to break off!! I am a bit heavy handed and accident prone so this is a great feature. The external screen is very handy it shows you the time and the date, it also shows who is calling. The messaging feature is lots of fun you can send animations or pictures such as smiling faces or love hearts with your messages as well as sound effects, to others with a Sendo or compatable hand set. The predictive text takes some getting used to but now I would find it very slow without it. The phone can be set with a screen saver this can be from the pictures or you can download something...

Sendo M550; a great find.

Advantages: Small, lightweight
Disadvantages: Surface scratches easily

..., the battery has a wonderful lifetime, and all of your friends will be astounded by it (believe me; mine were). Sendo M550 is a phone that fails to disappoint in any circumstance, especially for the asked price, cheaper than any other new model phone I have ever considered purchasing. Sendo M550 - my first non-Nokia experience

Advantages: Fantastic Value, Good Looking, Easy to Use

...The Sendo M550 is my first foray into the world of non-Nokia's, and it happened by accident. If I had the choice, I would have gone for a Nokia, they just seem to be dripping with reliability. However, the M550 was bought for me, and I thought I'd give it a go. It's brilliant. Better than any Nokia I've ever used, the Sendo has all the ease of a Nokia, with the look of a Samsung. It is a fantastic little phone. The phone, as long as your average first finger, is nice and compact; the buttons are laid out simply enough, and it doesnt seem small when opened out. The phone's flip function comes with pre-installed noise, that you end up showing off to friends. Very much like a little Windows, the phone has themes you change with your mood; bright colours, bold, pastels, it's a nice feature. The menu's are bold and easy to use...

LG KC550 - Average

Advantages: Good Camera For basic Functions, Good Build Quality.

My KC550 started off its life in my hands as a point and shoot camera, before i got my chunky camera i decided i needed something that could take medium resolution photos and so i bought this, a 5MP camera phone, it was averagely priced at around 100 pounds and was worth the money at the time. it was an average camera would call and text and worked well. its external body can be treated both like a phone and a small point and shoot camera. the overall finish of the phone is great, and it is still great after almost a year with some minor surface scratches. when slid up it reveals some very odd number keys, these don't really feel or work as well as the phone itself and as the phone is black the color doesent really match either. Garmin Zumo 550

Advantages: Good looking,top of the range,it's designed for bikers, loads of extras
Disadvantages: Sometimes bit slow,it is waterproof but not when used for long time in rain

...I had my Garmin Zumo 550 for nearly two years. I bought it because it was top of the range motorcycle sat nav. What i liked about it: whole Europe covered, shock and waterproof, quick and easy to use(don't have to take gloves off), loads of extras( fuel gauge,avg speed,compass, useful information like garages, petrol stations, hotels etc,mp3 player, Bluetooth, not bad memory capacity,speed cameras alerts. What i disliked about it : after 1 hour motorway ride in rain it stopped working,but surprisingly it was mounting bracket not sat nav itself which got wet.Sometimes bit slow I used to miss turn awaiting for navigation to recalculate route.Little bit tricky to supply power from motorbike - no instructions for DIY. After all i think it's good navigator but a little bit pricey....

Cheap and cheerful

...Sendo... It's very unlikely that you will have heard of this inconspicuous company. Most mobile phone companies are huge multinational corporations based in the Far East, or the US, but not Sendo. In fact Sendo has its HQ in sunny Birmingham. Whenever I whip out the clamshell M550 people are baffled by its make, which I think adds to the phone's mystique! First impressions (which invariably do count) prove promising. Without an external aerial the phone is incredibly compact, measuring in at the size of a credit card, and only about a centimetre deep. The front of the phone boasts a small screen, which lets you know all the usual information- who is calling, the time, date, battery life and reception. Unfortunately this screen is prone to scratching, and my M550 now looks like its been skydiving without a parachute. After prising open...

Don't Trust The PowerC@m

Advantages: Low Cost, Holds 49 Pictures

...With a name like Power C@m I thought this was going to be something special. Of course I now know I was wrong. The Trust 550 Power C@m costs around £42, not much for a digital camera. According to the book it also doubles up as a slow webcam but I never tried out this feature. To turn on the camera is as easy as 1-2-3. Just simply pull back the lens cover and the camera switches on. After around 20 seconds your ready to take a photo. You can then decide the camera resolution, 1.3 Mpix (1280 x 1024), max picture resolution 2.0 Mpix (1600 x 1200). The camera has a tiny 8mb memory so you can only tak up to 49 picture and 20 seconds of video. You can quickly delete any unwanted pictures but to see what you want to delete you have to upload the pictures to your computer using a usb cable. This process takes around a minute...

The Motorola V550 - (V525's Big Brother !)

Advantages: Great phone - Stylish, Robust and a great Battery Life !
Disadvantages: Not a vast improvement on the V525.
