Advantages: Very solid construction, excellent quality Zeiss lenses, excellent value Disadvantages: It is fiddly to load the film, no TTL flash metering or DX film sensing
...good in your hands when you are taking pictures and is less prone to camera shake than a tinny little compact.
For a serious photographer, the Praktica M42 lenses offer unsurpassed quality for their price. One of the best 35mm cameras on the market, ever....

Review of Praktica MTL-50
Advantages: Central England,Good for touring,Great modern city. Disadvantages: City centre not recommended for the motorist!
...Brum...a great place to visit, and to use as a base for touring the Midlands. A modern city, with many fine buildings, a vibrant City centre, great hotels, and good night life. Tourist attractions such as Stratford, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Drayton Manor Park, Alton Towers, Telford and Ironbridge, Dudley castle and Zoo, Merry Hill shopping centre, Evesham, etc are all within a day-trip distance.
If you like fine restaurants, especially Chinese and Balti, Brum really cannot be beaten! Transport to Brum is easy by Train to New St Station, by air to Birmingham International airport, or by road via the M5,M6,M1,or M42 motorways....
Advantages: Easy, just as it implies. Disadvantages: Cheap plastic gloves, not enough conditioner
...It was time to colour my roots again today, oh come on, I’m42 and going grey, I can’t help it - that’s life!
Anyway, walking down my local supermarket aisle, I realised they did not have my usual colour of the brand I use, in stock. I usually use L’Oreal Excellence, and the colour called Natural Brown. They were offering 50p off the product too. Drat, I thought. No way was I going to use Dark Brown, that is too dark, almost black.
I scanned the other products and spotted Nice n’ Easy. I had used it before, quite a while back, so I looked to see if they had my colour. Medium Brown. That will do, I thought and put it in my trolley. It was £4.49, which wasn’t bad, in fact, cheaper than my usual brand.
The box contains a 60ml bottle of colourant, a 60ml bottle of developer, a 12ml sachet...
Advantages: Good quality, strong, Value for money Disadvantages: Nothing at all.
...I have owned a Seiko Kinetic watch for about 5 years now. The model is a 5m42 OE30.
There are other models available like the 5M42-0h09 which has the same face but a complete blue plastic strap, quality of the watch is not as good though.
I believe that Seiko don't make this one any more and for the life of me I don't know why. I have however seen them in a few jewellers shops around the country and in Germany.
I bought it for £220 which was in a sale reduced from £400. Bargain.
The watch is silver in colour with a black face and white night illuminated numbers. There are the standard analogue Hour, Minute and second hands along with a clear and readable date display on the right hand side. Telling the time in any conditions is easy as the display is clear and well presented.
Also shown on the face is the battery meter...
Advantages: Spacious rooms, good rates Disadvantages: Poor service in breakfast room; bar prices
...The hotel itself is lovely and modern with spacious comfortable rooms, comfy queen size beds and an impressive reception area. It is in the Bromsgrove district, in the village of Catshill, rather than the town itself and you do need a car for getting about. It is very close to both the M5 and M42 motorways. We stayed three nights on the Classic Motor Show package which included entrance to the show at the NEC. Total cost was £306 for two of us for B&B (including the show tickets) which we thought good value.
The staff throughout are friendly and helpful but I can only rate the experience as average because there was a clear lack of organisation during our three-night stay. On arrival (Friday) we were sent to a room which was already occupied, spent the first night in another room where the toilet wouldn't flush, were moved...
Advantages: Interesting and informative Disadvantages: none - unless you don't like chocolate- you get approx 4 items free
...the factory works and how quick, also it was amusing how much we remember of the t.v. adverts for different cadbury products!
(A finger of fudge is just enough to give your kids a treat..........!)
Generally the whole day was amazing and we would definitely have felt we had spent well if we had not used clubcard vouchers, It would have cost us as afamily of five £48 approx.
Sign posts to find it were good from the M42 and parking is free and plenty of it!
As for the LARGEST cadbury shop All I can say is YUM YUM YUM YUM prices were average some saving but not huge on supermarket prices but the gift section was brilliant and quite a lot of Christmas shopping was acheived
Family friendly?
Yes definitely family friendly lots of toilets with baby changing facilities, a very good play area with two sections for small children and older...

Review of Cadbury World
...What they say:- Driving along an avenue of chestnut trees you soon realise the peace and seclusion of Hogarths. Set in 26 acres of beautiful woodland, it's hard to believe that you are only a few miles away from the centre of England's second largest city, with its cosmopolitan atmosphere and world-class facilities.
Minutes from the town of Solihull, and just a short journey to Junction 4 of the M42, Birmingham Airport and the National Exhibition Centre, Hogarths lies at the heart of your excursion, whether it is for business or pleasure.
Hogarths is up the same drive as Solihull Riding Club (which I regulary compete my horses at) so alot of cars are often seen going up their drive.
My boss had his wedding here last August which after a very heavy rain shower the sun came out and it was a truly wonderful day.
The decor inside is...

Review of Hogarths, Solihull
Advantages: Easy to get to for the whole country Disadvantages: Price grub
...The NEC is a huge with enough space for anything you'd want to use it for and is very easy to get to being smack bang in the centre of the country and conveiniantly located to airport, its own railway station and the M42. All the big acts do the NEC like Steps and Manics although some have said that it lacks atmosphere. The Motor Show is a once every two years regular and is on a larger scale than the one in London You need about a day to get round though because its massive. The drawbacks are the prices. Its ok to charge £20 to see your favourite band because they'll probably only tour once a year and anyway you have to pay that every week to see a premiership football match but the price of refreshments is a joke. About £3 for a bottle of cola and £1 for a two finger kit Kat... well two fingers to that then!...
Advantages: Good reputation, great fun social life! Disadvantages: Bit daunting when you start, but you soon find your way round!
...What can you say about your time at University? You'll look back and remember what a wonderful time you had there, and forget all the hard work!
I did four years on a Manufacturing Engineering Course and Commerce (BEng BCom) - quite an unusual combination and pretty good to say you have two degrees! My whole experience was great. The course was fantastic, and I've been able to apply what I learnt at work - not many people say that.
I lived for the first year in Griffin Close. It's near Northfield, towards the M5 and M42 from the University. It looks a bit of a dump, and I had many reservations about living so far from the Uni. I could not have been more wrong! It has a superb social club with loads of events, and the minibus can take you to and from The Guild (student Union) in the evening anyway. It's really only a cycle ride...
