...Let's get this straight...this will probably remain the "lightest" and "thinnest" notebook on earth for a while. But that's about all it has to boast of. The Macbook Air features a tiny 80GB HDD - the same as the one found on iPods; and even if you add the optional 64GB SSD, it still lacks serious storage. Also, the thinnest book in the world also sacrifices on other essentials such as an optical drive...and instead asks you to buy (and carry around at extra weight!) an external drive to play your DVDs. laptop sleeve - perfect for the MacBook

Advantages: Does the job and looks pretty too
Disadvantages: None!

...This is a little pricey for what it is you might think but mine has been really worth the money. It's so handy if you want to keep your laptop in a rucksack or quickly take it somewhere, it really does prevent the scratches and spills without being at all bulky. I have a MacBook Pro 17" and it fits perfectly, be careful if you have a not so slim laptop as it may not fit. I also use it on my lap to prevent the MacBook from burning my legs and am using it this minute, I've tried using cushions in the past which doesn't really work! I really do think it is one of those 'must-have' purchases when you buy a laptop, especially one as pretty as the MacBook! Don't worry about the zip scratching either as it has a protective flap, they thought of everything!...

It has 2GB of memory (RAM) and that's enough for working with documents, playing or even working with professional graphical programs. Most of new notebooks has more than 2GB of RAM but I can say that it is not a truth - the Apple MacBook Air works faster than other notebook of mine which has 4GB of RAM! ...The macbook air, is not the most pracitcal of laptops. Afterall, it doesnt even have a disc drive! However, opinions can be of two styles, a visual style, or a practical style. I for one prefer visual styles of practicality, but can definately see some key flaws in this product. Let's start with the disadvantages: NO CD DRIVE The cd drive was removed from this laptop, simply to make the macbook air as thin as possibe. Apple chose "looks" over "personality" in this case. and i think they made a huge mistake. Most of the applications connecting computers with our daily lives, require cd roms. of course apple suggest that you buy an addition cd drive which plugs into one of the usb ports. but this is just a hassle, and seems uneccesary to start buying extra necessities for an already expensive product.
