Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz - 17" TFT
Advantages: nice screen, good battery life, fast specs
Disadvantages: large size (price?)
...Apple mac-books, where to start...
ok, so to start,
it is an apple, that means you get a solid quality product and on the whole very good customer are.
this particualar apple is deffinatly more suited to being a media center than other laptops. At first glance you realise that it is a fairly large laptop, this allows for a big screen, which being an apple ffers clear vivid displays, unfortunatly the big screen increases the overal size and also uses more battery, however, the 4.5 hour yattery is still very good for an entertainment laptop.
The laptops technical specs include a very fast 2.5 ghz dual core proccesor which is very fast, the dual core allows it to tackle multiple tasks quicly as well as increasing the overall speed of the laptop.
The price is quite steep however, but i believe, if given the money, it is...

Apple MacBook Core 2 Duo 13.3" - I'm a convert
Advantages: Stylish, flexible, super fast startup
Disadvantages: Pricey compared to a PC
...the choices below; they're all open source/freeware. My budget for toys is dry following the arrival of the MacBook, so it's cheapies or freebies for me for a while.
So here goes:
1. Browser (Firefox)
With the advent of Firefox V3.0 (FF3), I was finally teased away from Internet Explorer (IE) on the PC. The time taken to develop css sites and make them work cross-platform was hugely reduced, I was a convert. I'm sure Safari is truly great, but I'll be sticking to FF for dev for the foreseeable future.
2. Messaging client (MSN Messenger for Mac)
A no brainer really, need to retain the continuity with my previous MSN contacts. That said, I've hardly used it since I installed it.
3. Twitter client (TweetDeck)|
If you're into Twitter, you need a client. This one fits the bill nicely, lets you group your followees and has a nice user interface. It...

Apple Macbook core 2 duo 2ghz 13"
Advantages: sexy fast different simple
Disadvantages: could take a bit of getting used to
...After thinking what laptop to buy for over a year I kept falling back on the idea of buying mac!
I had wireless set up and off I went to buy a laptop. I fell in love with the macbook very sexy and simple (bit like myself)! I'm not here to bore you with specs (you know what you need you just want to know how well it performs).
I opted for the 13" as its smaller and cheaper £699! Its a very competant little machine that can do everything you want it too, its wifi is very good and stable. Its amazingly simple to use far less complicated than windows! I love the two fingers on the mouse pad to scroll down pages, also the quality of the display and the way it works out when you mistype (somehow apple have made it work out sausage finger typing and it doesn,t put that letter in).
The operating system is fast at booting up...

Macbook core 2 duo 13.3 inch aluminium casing
Advantages: Stylish design, solid case, light weight
Disadvantages: gets a bit warm under windows
...Recently i decided to purchase the new aluminium cased apple macbook. The price is quite high starting off around £900. I took a trip down to my local apple shop to find out a little more about the macbook, I got talking to a member of staff in store who told me a little more about the system i wanted to purchase and about discounts i could recieve. As i am a student i recieved my macbook with a 14% discount and also 3 years warranty for £50. When i got home i took it out of the box, the macbook has a strong aluminium casing which aids in keeping cool, the macbook is really cold to the touch when it has been off for hours which is quite a shock when it touches your skin. The macbook itself is really stylish with a thin screen with a built in webcam, the screen is really clear and has a glossy look to it. The builtin webcam has good...

Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz - 13.3" TFT - excellent!
Advantages: portable, runs very fast, large storage with TimeMachine application for backing up your work
Disadvantages: some problems with using Safari, though this may be due to the wireless network I am using, costs!
...In my opinion, the Apple Macbook Pro is an ideal laptop. As a student, I find that it meets all my needs - I can store plenty of music, photos etc even though I bought the cheapest one with the smallest memory.
The system operates very fast and comes with both Firefox and Safari.
My only criticism is that it only comes with textedit and so you have to buy iWorks for around £65. However, despite this it is good value for money and I don't regret spending my 2 years worth of part-time earnings on it!
It has everything I want from a laptop and is ideally portable and good for watching films despite the smaller screen size. Another feature I particularly liked was that it has a light up keyboard for when you are in darker rooms - you can adjust the brightness of the keyboard the same as you can for the screen. Looks very impressive!
It is...

Macbook Review
Advantages: Fantastic operating system and programs, great features, portability style
Disadvantages: inbuilt graphics
...work, and browse the internet. The battery is also very good. On power saving settings and doing something like work processing or web browsing, I can get up to 3.5 hours of battery life.
The hard drive and the RAM are user serviceable. My machine came with 1GB of ram which I upgraded to 4GB. I will also be upgrading the hard drive soon.
Overall this is a very good computer and I would definitely recommend buying it....

MacBook, Get Yours.
Advantages: Smooth, silent, good looking, more than capable, satisfying.
Disadvantages: Arguably the cost, some very minor issues in very few cases.
...telemarketing, and what a treat it was...
Decisions, decisions, decisions
So off I popped to the Apple online store, and I began to read through the specification options, which were fairly straightforward (bearing in mind the starting price for the basic model is £749):
*2 Gigs of RAM standard, or 4 Gigs for an added £80. I opted for the 4 Gigs on the advice of a friend, who has the 2 Gigs version and told me the upgrade would be better for running games in windows (which I'll come to later). He assures me, and I can back him up having used his from time to time, that the standard memory is enough to run all the main programs very smoothly. Personally I only chose the upgrade for gaming reasons, so I would recommend the basic for anyone who wants to do anything at all besides running large games.
*Hard drive space of 160 GB for standard...

Macbook after 4 months
Advantages: Design, iSight, solid OS (OS X), battery life, build quality, good value for money
Disadvantages: White Macbook turns dirty quickly, lack of popular games, no dedicated graphics, no card reader
...for about 3 hours, which compares with its competitors. Charging time is considerably slower (3-4 hours for a full charge).
The performance is very good with the Core 2 duo processor. Although I haven't used OS X on a slower processor so I can't compare the speeds but it does seem fast on this one. Dedicated graphic card would be a pleasant bonus but the shared graphic card works just fine for normal usage.
Overall, have an open mind and you will love Mac. At this time, when I think of Windows, all that comes to mind is viruses, crashes and Ctrl+Alt+Del.
Oh and I forgot to mention that I don't game so Mac suits me all the more. If you can't live without gaming then maybe Mac is not for you....

The MacBook
Advantages: a joy to use, good software, easy to get to grips with.
Disadvantages: not all software is available on the Mac, C4 online for eg.

In the fall of 2001 consumers saw the rise of the iBook and the PowerBook G4 as new personal and portable computers. Apple had created a digital hub concept where everything was available through Apple making it easier for consumers to decide with PC was better for them because an Apple computer offered it all. And in early 2003 the world was shown the iPod a revolution in the storing of music, for personal use, leading to the iTunes store and leading to more variations of the iPod, with the Nano and the shuffle all becoming prominent in today?s digital market.

Old design hides great new features
Advantages: Huge, High res display. Very quick, great processor, ram, high capacity HDD
Disadvantages: No unibody design, some features only available on SMALLER model, Still no Blu-Ray
...unibody machines).
It is, as it's name implies, designed around the large, 17" display. The whole machine is only slightly larger than the display itself, approximately 1/4 of an inch larger on the left and right side, and 1/2 of an inch larger on the top and bottom. The computer is a shade less than an inch thick when closed, and around about 3 KG. It is a large laptop, but is about the thinest and lightest large screen laptop available.
It's specs are impressive, what you expect from a top end mac, a dual core 2.5GHz processor, large 320GB hard disc, 4GB ram as standard and NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory make this a powerful road warrior laptop.
It includes most of the additional features you find on high end computers too. 802.11 B/G/N wireless networking, gigabit ethernet, bluetooth 2.1 EDR...
