...I had accidentally dented my unibody Macbook Pro TWICE, once knocked a tumbler against the side of the screen and then later had a clip board fall off a shelf onto the top of the lid. I had only had the Macbook a few weeks at the time so I thought to myself "enough was enough". I'd decided that I would try to avoid further accidental damage to my precious (and first) Apple computer by investing in a Speck clear shell. The shell comprises of two sections. One piece to protect the underside, and the other for the top. Each piece slots in and latches on to the Macbook so it's like they become part of the Macbook. The Apple (MacBook Pro) - More than Eve ever thought it would be

Advantages: Everything - the look, the functionality, the accessibility...everything
Disadvantages: The price - but still worth every penny

...made me choose this model? I wanted a laptop that was lightweight, powerful and could handle lots of design work - memory and speed were important. I was initially looking at a Macbook Air as they are very light weight. I needed a computer laptop, and wanted an Apple as it's a brand I trust and have never had a problem with. I had used lots of PCs and HP laptops with work - all of them were invariably slow to some degree. If they weren't continually asking for updates or crashing, they would be very slow and sluggish. Macbook Pro is Brilliant!

Advantages: Light, Easy-to-use, Comfortable, Nice design
Disadvantages: None

...Before I bought my Macbook Pro, the only experience I had of Mac OS X was on the college iMacs. The reason I bought my Macbook Pro was because it would come in handy a lot for when I move away to university and Mac's are far better for photo and movie editing and that is what I need it for most. Speed I was amazed at how fast it was, even when you've got quite a few applications/programs open. It never seems to slow down unless you've got an excessive amount of stuff open. I have yet to experience it crashing which is impressive and is one of the reasons I rate it so highly. You can get on with what you want to do without any issues.
