Advantages: Great for first time webdesigners on a budget

...I was first introduced to this software at school and have since been hooked. As an alternative to using notepad for making websites it is fantastic. The most useful programs in the package are Dreamweaver (website building) and Fireworks (Graphics). There is also in this set Flash, Freehand and Coldfusion. Dreamweaver is a fantastic piece of software which incorporates all the other elements in the MX packgage with ease. There is the usual graphic and code view, file manger, FTP and much more. The only downside to this program is that when you use html (or other code/scripts) that is not generated by Dreamweaver I have found that it doesn't cope well and rarely crashes. Which is very annoying at least. Fireworks I believe is a God send for website coders who are not strong at graphic design because it is simple to use...

Dreamweaver MX 2004 - An essential tool.

Advantages: Great features for creating proffesional webpages
Disadvantages: Slightly overwhelming at first - especially to novices in web building.
