Advantages: Sun, sea & sand Disadvantages: sunburn, or potentially annoying reps if with young tour group.
...*Please Note - this is based on my experience, as an 18 year-old student, so those with family looking for a summer holiday may not find this to be the most useful review for them!!*
During mid-July this year, myself along with five other mates jetted off to Magaluf on the Spanish island of Majorca for some sun, sea and sand before we all went our seperate ways to university. Looking for a wild and entertaining week, we opted for Magaluf on it's reputation for satisfying the "18-30" generation. We booked through First Choice and their group "2wentys" - specifically designed for young people going on holiday to destinations such as Magaluf, Ibiza, Corfu etc. We stayed at the Gabarda hotel, a basic two star appartment with a beach only 500 metres away, in Palma Nova, a small town literally ten minutes walk along the beach front to...

Review of Magaluf (Spain)
Advantages: Awesome night life, plenty of places to try, plenty of stuff to do! Disadvantages: Prostitutes everywhere at night time, people trying to sell you stuff is annoying
...After seven nights in one of Europes most popular destinations for young Brits I can say that I seen some things in Magaluf that I thought I would never see! The weather was fantastic, I have never laughed so much in one week to be perfectly honest. To make it clear all in all the Magaluf experience cost me around £900 all in all, I paid around £350 for the flights, accommodation etc. and took £550 (601 Euro) because we didn't have any food or drink provided by the hotel so we needed more spending money than most people would take.
We stayed in the Vista Sol apartmentos which was surprisingly good, nice outdoor and indoor pool with jacuzzi, football court and even a table tennis table outside which was a laugh when around the pool in the daytime, the staff there in my opinion were mainly good, but didn't clean our rooms when asked which...

Review of Magaluf, Majorca
Advantages: Wicked Nightlife Disadvantages: Didn't come upon any
...Stayed here in August 2003 and really , really enjoyed it. I went as part of a group of 8 girls aged 18- 21 and we all had a wicked time!
We stayed in the playa cas s'abones apartments and were very impressed by their size and cleanliness, it was well worth paying the little extra for decent accomodation!
We went here for the nightlife and we weren't disappointed. This place is pumping. You have your traditional bars and clubs. A great offer here was 8 euro entrance that allowed you into 4 clubs, boomerangs, car wash, bananas and tokyo joe's and entitled you to a free drink. This makes for very cheap nights out!!
Magaluf is a very reasonable resort. Expect to pay around 10 euro for a meal with drinks included. A great little find is tom browns on magaluf beachfront- british grub served by british staff if your missing your home...
