...I have had my Epson printer for just over a year now and had the one before that for over two before it began to chew paper and was kindly replaced by Epson for the one I currently have. Luckily for me both of the printers use the same ink cartridges and therefore I didn?t waste any ink whatsoever when I switched printers. Now being at University and constantly having to hand in double copies of essay and presentation notes I do get through rather a lot of ink and although it is my black ink cartridge that takes the greatest bashing I do find that the colour cartridges dwindle too. My printer has three colour cartridges, a cyan one, a yellow one and the one in question here a magenta one. Much better Than Ink Refills, Worthy of the investment

...After using cheap ink refills in our epson printer and seeing the loss of quality, I opted to buy the real deal and get this multipack of epson inks that are compatible with our printer. I was a little worried that I was paying too much for this multipack considering it was just under £28 but when you divide this by the amount of cartridges it works out about £7 per cartridge which isnt too bad for ink in the grand scheme of things. I used to have to perform printer cleaning very regularly which I can only pinpoint to the poor quality ink refills that I used, but now using the genuine cartridges the difference is night and day. You get four colours in the box - Cyan, Magenta, Black and Yellow, with the black ink having a slightly bigger capacity than the others as it gets used more often. Good little printer

Advantages: small, easy, cheap, good quality (for a col. laser)
Disadvantages: smallish paper tray

...Good little colour printer! Network ready, works well with my Mac and PC over ethernet. Installed easily on both. Initial toner cartridges are not full capacity, but mine ran to around 950 pages when black, followed shortly but magenta and cyan ran out. Tip for using this printer: switch on the supplies warning override. It was telling me to replace toner at around 600 pages, I got 350 pages more before needing too! Use: using this for short run direct mail and flyers, lots of pictures and colour. With Edge Control set to light this is just fine. Not quite as smooth as the commercial printer I use for digital but acceptable, and we're promoting photography services mainly. Prints card up to 220gsm OK. Also duplexes well (work and turn). In first 1000 pages it needed 1 calibration (diy through the printer menu). Paper...

...Printers are marvellous things when they work!We bought an Epson DX4000 a couple of years ago after problems with our HP printer. It was reduced in Tesco and as it is a photo copier and printer we thought it was a bargain but decided to check out the cost of the cartridges before buying. We have used various makes of cartridges over the years for previous printers but had been having problems and always having to clean to get good printing so we were wasting ink. We got sample size cartridges with the printer but bought a Multipack so we were ready when a replacement was needed. The Multipack has 4 cartridges, 1 of each black, yellow, magenta and cyan. The box is blue with a picture of a Cheetah and is in the Cheetah range, there are other ranges like Monkey. Hummingbird and Seahorse makinh it easy to spot the one you want to buy...

T0715 for Epson printers

Advantages: cheaper to buy 4 but can also buy singly
Disadvantages: you have to look around for the cheapest as prices do vary

...The inks are Black T0711 Cyan T0712 Magenta T0713 Yellow T0714 Each pack comes in a vacuum wrapping and it is worth to not open until you need it. To use you just pull off the yellow strip and just drop it into your printer. It really is as simple as that. Instructions do say to shake the ink cartridge 4 or 5 times before putting it in but I have forgotten to do that and panic stations, but it made absolutely no difference that I could see but perhaps I was just lucky. These cartridges cannot be refilled and I have not yet seen any recycling place that it happy to receive them - probably just because they cannot be refilled. How long do they last? Makes My Stylus, Stylish!

Advantages: last long, can be bought from many electrical shops, uses Durabrite ultra Ink
Disadvantages: a bit expensive when outght as a multi pack

...We just recently bought a new Epson stylus DX7400 printer as our old one stopped printing for some reason. Our new printer takes the T series Epson ink. To make everything a bit easier we just bought a T0715 multi pack ink package which comes with four ink cartridges. The T0715 can also be used with other Epson stylus models including the DX4450, DX4000, DX9400F, DX4050 etc. The Epson T0715 will come with four colour ink cartridges. This includes the T0711 which is the black ink, T0712 which is the cyan colour, T0713 which is the magenta colour and T0714 which is the yellow colour. The Epson T0715 multi pack is rather expensive as we bought it for £29.99 in PC world, I guess its not that expensive if you divide that by four, as it will work out to be around £7.50 per cartridge, which I think is not too bad considering the quality...

Buyers Beware

Advantages: Very cheap, nice website
Disadvantages: appaling service, no refunds, cannot contact by phone, delays in posting, no invoices

...I received an Acer 2216 wsd TFT monitor as a Christmas present. I worked for 5 days, but developed a fault the day before New Years Eve. Magenta will not replace or refund, but insist I use my Acer warranty to repair the fault. Magenta are completely un-contactable by phone and all correspondance has been carried out by email. My complaints haven't been escalated; there is no complaints procedure and I cannot get this problem dealt with seriously. Acer and Consumer Direct agree this was faulty on arrival and that a replacement should be sent by Magenta, but Magenta only seem interested in customer service before they get your cash. Buyers beware. This product arrived late and I doubt it would have arrived in time for Christmas if it was not chased up. It also arrived without an invoice - I have needed to use my bank statements to see...

Highly unreliable.

Advantages: Good print quality - when it works

...It's a shame that the Laserjet 2600 is so unreliable as the print quality is excellent. Our experience is as follows: First of all, printing on anything but blank 80gsm paper causes background toner smearing all over the page. We have tried many different types of card stock and glossy papers, all designed for the Laserjet 2600, but they all give the same problem. If you want to print on anything but standard A4 white copy paper, then avoid this printer. Secondly, two weeks into printing, a repeating magenta line appeared on the printouts. After checking the magenta toner, there was a light scratch on the drum. We replaced this, and the printer worked again. We have now started to have a black repeating mark on the pages, which I presume is down to the black toner, which still has 1500 pages remaining. We are waiting to...
