Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. Maggie's mums sultana loaf

Advantages: Easy to make
Disadvantages: Too Easy to eat

...on top for 30 mins. Check it after this time and if it has risen fine remove the foil and reduce the heat a little and leave for a further 30 mins. Remember to watch out for steam coming out from under the foil it burns. And hopefully after this time with no scalds or burns you should have a lovely sultana loaf. Well enjoy and let me know if you try the recipe. Additions: the 1 cup I refer to is a 250ml measuring cup. I have not tried this recipe with different milks or substitutes but why not give it a go. Cheese & Ham Pockets

...I have been off a lot lately since it is the summer and I am not at university. So I do find since being a student I did get lazy but for going back in Autumn I have been trying to find different products that I could use for snacks or lunch in between classes. While at my local supermarket I came across the Maggi Hot Pockets which were microwavable which I do try to stay away from as it is unhealthy but they looked too good to resist and with a preparation time of only two and a half minutes it sounded like something I would benefit from. The packaging is very eye catching with this product, I haven?t heard of Maggi before but I soon would. ...? Or will she be forced to leave the one place where she may be able to make a fresh start? I bought this book in a charity shop because I had heard good things about Maggie Shayne. After reading the synopsis I did not have high hopes for this book. I was expecting something that would be quick and easy to read, with a guaranteed happy ending but probably not the best plot. That was exactly what I got yet even with such low expectations I was still disappointed. The beginning of the book is a little bit tedious. First you have to read all about Luke losing his friend and finding his family, then about Jasmine witnessing a murder and then finally they get to meet.
