...No matter how many theme parks I visit Disney’s Magic Kingdom always remains the best. According to the Disney literature Magic Kingdom is aimed at children but I have found that there is plenty in this park for adults only or a family group. After leaving your car at one of the huge parking lots (each named after a Disney character) you then board a tram which takes you to the transportation centre. Here you can buy your park passes if you do not already have one and then choose whether to travel to Magic Kingdom either by monorail or ferry. Either method takes about the same amount of time but there always seems to be longer queues for the monorail. ...I have to say if you only visit one Disney Park in Orlando, Florida it most definitely has to be Magic Kingdom. Without a shadow of a doubt it is the most fantastic park. When you first arrive at the park you have to make a choice of which way to travel to the park gates from using the monorail or going by an old river boat. Having used both I can say that they are equally as good as each other. The monorail is fast but the river boat takes a scenic journey across the water. The queues at the park gates can be quite big because first you have to go through a security check and then you go through the main turnstiles into the park itself. As soon as you enter the park you are facing Main Street with all its shops and at the very end you have a fantastic view of the Magic Castle which is the main feature of the park. It is...

...Please don?t expect this to be a short op. There is so much to say. Magic Kingdom is the park we heard the most about before our trip to Orlando. It is the one place I had high expectations of. Did it live up to my expectation? Read on?? Disney?s Magic Kingdom is located at the end of Highway 192 to the South West of Orlando. Finding the park is easy, and it is well signposted. Car Parking cost us $8. Disabled badge holders follow the blue line and get a really good parking space, close to the park transportation. Most of the parks are located by the car parks, but Magic Kingdom is situated on its own Island, so to get there, you will have to travel by monorail, or Mississippi steam boat. It's the oldest park, and opened in 1971 - and to some extent, the age is starting to show. It also attracts more visitors than the rest of the Disney parks put together, and can get extremely crowded. Part of the reason for that is the mere 100 acres the park takes up - compare that to Epcot's 200 acres or Animal Kingdom's 500 acres for an idea of comparitive size.
