Maiden Heaven

Advantages: Very Good Album
Disadvantages: Left me wanting more

The best album from Maiden

...In 1982 Iron Maiden released what is internationally known by most Maiden fans as their best album ever. After just realising the album 'Killers' in 81 and 'Iron Maiden' in 1980 they had changed their lead vocalist from Paul Di'anno to the brilliant Bruce Dickinson. This was their first album with the new singer and also their first album writing completely new material. Old Maiden, New CD

Advantages: Sounds just like their old stuff

It's Iron Maiden rocking in RIO!

...Rock In Rio Rock In Rio Festival was preformed in front of a sell out crowd of about 250,000 people on the 19th January 2001. It was the last gig Maiden done on their tour of their album Brave New World, and was undoubtedly the biggest. This is their first album since the return of Bruce Dickinson after he left following the 'Fear Of The Dark' album to embark on his solo career. The show was shot using over 18 cameras and edited by Iron Maiden own Steve Harris shows the real best of Maiden. This DVD comes with 2 discs, the first being the actual live concert and the second being special features. Moon Maiden - Feel like a Goddess!

Advantages: Gorgeous Goth clothing at affordable prices
Disadvantages: I want them all!

...Well, I don't know where to start with this one at all! I can NOT recommend Moon Maiden highly enough and I really hope this review will bring a bit of business in for Sarah, who makes the clothes and her husband Michael, who runs the website. Moon Maiden are based in Cornwall and on their homepage there's a link to a page on Cornwall and Devon. I first came across this site last year through a post with a link on Slashgoth (a sort of general info site for those with an interest in matters Gothic and associated subjects) and decided to have a look. The site, if you want to look for yourself can be found at moonmaiden-gothic-clothing.co.uk. If you like beautiful, well made and well fitting clothes at an excellent price, then this is for YOU! But be warned: the clothes here are not your average run-of-the-mill stuff you'll find...

Review of Moon Maiden Gothic Clothing

Mediocre Maiden

Advantages: Good to see Brucie back in the fold
Disadvantages: Too many lacklustre moments

...Unusually, I was keen to see a support band as Rob Halford brought his new outfit on the road. Many others had the same idea as the Solid Rock Cafe emptied fairly early and there was a good-sized crowd inside the arena. Most people - like myself - were obviously hoping for some old Priest material, and we were treated to "Electric Eye", "Riding On The Wind", "Tyrant” and "Breaking the Law", although there was no sign of "Living After Midnight". Shame. The new stuff was all right, if not exactly groundbreaking. May just have been enough to persuade me to fork out for the album "Resurrection" though. Maiden themselves are perhaps the victims of their own success over the years as so many of the fans would love to hear a "greatest hits" set, while they of course want to showcase more of their new material. Maiden Reform

Advantages: Almost as good as their classics
Disadvantages: Not quite their best work

...After hearing Iron Maiden's new single - "The Wicker Man" - the album had to be purchased as well. With Maiden now as an unprecedented 6-piece - Adrian Smith having returned to the band as well as Bruce Dickinson - there are no barriers to new world domination for them. Well, almost. That magnificent single kicks things off, then a typically Maidenesque title of "Ghost Of The Navigator" provides the same, familiar Maiden beat. It even mentions "chasing rainbows", although that really brings certain other outfits to mind. "Dying swans, twisted wings, Beauty not needed here" heralds the "Brave New World" of the title, then "Blood Brothers" brings a mellower sound. "The Mercenary" strays into Motorhead territory with "Iron Will, Iron Fist". Lyrically that is, not musically. "Dream Of Mirrors" again starts quietly, but builds...
