There are so many on the market, doing different things and costing different amounts! i wanted one that would be lightweight, and take my baby right through to being a toddler. I also wanted one that would look like a proper pram, not just a carseat on wheels. ...I bought this pushchair after I had my youngest child for a number of reasons. It came with loads of extras which when bought seperatly can work out costing more than the pushchair, and it was very light, only weighing 5 kgs. This was a very important factor as I live in a block of flats on the third floor, and there is no lift. So I knew that I would have to carry it and a child up and down the stairs on a daily basis. It seems that this pushchair is exclusive to Argos, and dosen't seem to be even available in the Mamas and Papas stores, or even on-line. In hindsight, I suppose alarm bells should have been ringing. The shopping basket is HUGE! You can get loads in! The seat itself is nice and spacious and most importantly comfortable! The accessories that you can get are also great! Mamas and Papas are a well known brand and the aria is a great addition! When you first get it, it does take a bit of putting together - although this is only putting the wheels on! I thought was a good idea as it meant I did not have to buy a pushchair when they were too big for their pram. I liked the mamas and papas pilko pushchair for £190 and you could buy a carrycot (Navetta) to go with it at about £160. So it helped me to decide to the buy the pushchair as well and brought the carrycot to go with it at the same time. The carrycot comes in all the materials that the pushchair comes in which it can be attach to so it can match. My original baskets hood always fell down, but the Meadow basket is heavily weighted at the edges and has a little hedgehog toy hanging from the centre to occupy the little one inside, although I think they would need to be a little older for this to be effective. Newborns don't pay much attention to anything! On the apron part there is a little snail embroidered on the front and it brings in a lovely orange and green colour to the design and allows you to add these colours into the nursery too. ...Buying a cot for your baby is another nailbiting experience as you only want the best for your baby, but may not have the money to buy the best. We decided on the Mamas & Papas Mamu Fizz Cotbed from Argos. We have pine furniture throughout our bungalow and wanted a pine cot, but could not find a nice one that we could afford. This Cotbed was classed as made from natural wood and is a nice colour and is very sturdy. We also wanted a Cotbed so that we could save some money, as this one will last to around 5 years of age. Of course, being from Mamas & Papas, it meets all current safety standards and came complete with mattress. It cost £154.79 from Argos.
