Manchester United
Advantages: most prolific team in England, best fans in the world
Disadvantages: slightly leaky defence at the moment
...What can I say that hasn't already been said about England's most prolific football club. Most people know everything from the Munich air disaster to the treble season of 1998/99, two hugely differing events in the history of an absolutely fantastic football team. I personally have been priveleged to support such a great side ever since my birth in 1986, and having gone on to see them roughly 500 times in various areas of the country (and the world).
Manchester United PLC.
Chairman - Sir Roy Gardner
Chief Executive - David Gill
Manchester United FC
Manager - Sir Alex Ferguson
Assistant Manager - Carlos Queiroz
President - Martin Edwards
Formed - 1878 (formerly Newton Heath but name changed to Manchester United in 1902)
The club also gave me the greatest day of my life - even though ive seen them play so many times...

Manchester United - Champions.
Advantages: great entertainment, great to watch, good hobby.
Disadvantages: can get to addicted, costs quite a lot to view in real life.
...I am a huge Manchester United fan, i have been a season ticket for years and they are WELL WORTH the money. i went to Rome to watch the might reds in action against Barcelona, yes we lost, but still we won it the year before :) Manchester united are the biggest team in the world as many people will know :) I have always loved Manchester united as should everyone, we have the biggest fan base in the world and have the biggest club stadium in the UK. Old Trafford - The theatre of dreams, holds up to 76.000 people all cheering on the champions of the world, Europe and England and when its not going right we shout even louder, at home when we were 2.0 down to Tottenham and things were not going well the crowd lifted the players and we ended up turning the match round and winning the game 5.2 the whole Premiership were shocked as most...

MANCHESTER CITY HOME SHIRT 2005/2006
Advantages: STYLISH YET SIMILAR COLOURS TO OLD SHIRTS - QUALITY PRODUCTION
Disadvantages: MAN CITY BADGE OF LEFT HAND SIDE CAN IRRITATE THE LEFT NIPPLE
...As an avid Manchester City supporter from as far as I can remember I have owned every seasons home shirt and even picked up a few away shirts en route.
The only problem I could find with this shirt is on the inside left hand side of the shirt - the back of the badge which irritates the nipple when running or jogging or imitating your favourite City players.
The shirt has a sleek round neck design with white and black bands around the shoulder area. The front and back of the shirt has a small detail to it which makes it stand out but I must admit it stands out more when your outside in the wet. It can also been seen up close when you get your shirt out of the washing machine as its machine washable also after that muddy days football!
Another small problem I occured with the shirt although this is not the manufacturers fault as I...

A good variation of a traditional shirt
Advantages: The collar, symmetry
Disadvantages: quite thick, not very durable
...I am not actually a Newcastle fan, but I moved there to go to uni a few years ago. Living near the ground I decided to watch them a few times and managed to get my hands on this shirt. Here's what I found
Comfort
This shirt is very comfortable to wear around the house as well as to play football in. It is not the lightest shirt in the world but still does not weigh you down or overheat you if you are playing football.
Style
The shirt has the traditional black and white stripes which go well with the Adidas black and white stripes down the sleeve. There is a black collar which looks very smart, and the manufacturer logo, club badge and sponsor are all central.
Durability.
I have owned this shirt since mid-2007 and it has lasted quite well. There is some wear-and-tear and the sponsor logo is beginning to peel but I can still wear it to...

Man Utd t-shirt 06/07
Advantages: Something totally new
Disadvantages: Not the most attractive
...I always look forward to new Man Utd t-shirts coming out and am excited about seeing their new look. This year's t-shirt has been given the old look to represent Man Utd's first League championship 50 years ago.
The AIG sponsor is quite clearly not the most attractive, and has a dull look to it. The size of it doesn't help either, although it's not the appearance of the sponsor that matters to the authorities, it's the £14.1million United receive a year from it, which replaces the £9million from Vodafone, and makes United the most paid club in world football from a shirt sponsor. Juventus were number 1, until their relegation to Serie B.
I like the gold that has been added to it, because red and gold go together really well. The crest over the heart has a real retro look about it with the old shape around it filled with white. It...

The New Carlisle United Home Kit (07/08)
Advantages: Nice lively change to design
Disadvantages: Pricey, but all football shirts are!
...Released for the 07/08 this Carlisle United home kit features a slightly different design to previous kits. Carlisle United, a club associated with Blue as their colours have had a plain blue top (not including sleeves or trim here) for around the last 5, 6 years, but this new kit, made by Le cog Sportif took a slightly different approach. This kit features three colours, With a blue area on the left, with white next to that and with the red trim (its an extended trim) on the right hand side. These sections are cut diagonally and run all the way down into the shorts aswell. The sleeves are blue. The kit therefore is not Symettrical colour wise like most kits, but personally I think it looks great. This is the second season currently that is being worn, and I think it will go on for a further year as the United home kit before being...

man united away shirt 06/07
Advantages: YOUR FRIENDS WILL BE JEALOUS OF YOU!
Disadvantages: none
...The 06/07 manchester united shit is a sleek, stylish design which is very lightweight and confortable.
While you are running around playing football you will feel like a true football player with this shirt, you will be the envy of the school, your friends will be jealous. Were wondering what aig is while i was talking to you?
well anyway it stands for American International Group, an American insurance corporation.
in case i didnt mention i own this shirt and find it very confortable and fun to play in.
the gold rim around your neck does not rub around your neck.
In most t-shirts it rubs around my neck but for some reason this had no effect i wore it for about 3 hours for 3 times a week because thats how many times i have football, and i didnt itch one little bit so there you have it a shirt that has everything from confort to...

Manchester United, still a cut above the rest.
Advantages: Excellent manager, great players, fantastic youth system. To top it all off they are the richest club in the world
Disadvantages: Manager is retiring soon, reluctant to break the bank on top players. Wage structure stops them from signing the best as well.
...There has been much talk recently about Man. U being merely an average side. Roy Keane, the club captain seems to think certain players are not pulling their weight and that the team needs a bit of an overhaul. However seven league titles in nine years, is as David Beckham put it, ‘not the mark of a bad side’. As well as this when you look at the fact that Man. U have lost only four league games this year and have the meanest defence in the league as well as the most goals scored it is quite obvious that statistics show this team is way above average.
The fact that United are so far ahead of every other team does not imply that this league is short of quality either. Remember that in the Champions League quarterfinal stage that there were three English teams present. Also Liverpool have made it all the way to the UEFA Cup...
