MANOS now part of THOMAS COOK

Advantages: They did have their 2008 holidays on sale early.
Disadvantages: Looks like another good little one disappearing.

...This review is based on just one Travel experience with Manos. Usually for our May Greek Holiday I have always used Kosmar as our Travel firm, but have always knew that Manos were an equal good option. Last year after Kosmar had been taken over by XL they were very late in getting out their 2008 Brochure, and as we like to have next years holiday sorted by the middle of June I went with Manos. Booked on their online site which was very quick and efficent. Choose Villa Bridge in Aghios Gordios on Corfu (See seperate reviews). With online discount and taking all those extras into the price, Airport Taxes, Fuel Suppliments, Airport Suppliment, we ended up with Day Flights from East Midlands Airport (our local only 15 miles away) for £604 for the two of us. I know there will be those who say we got a late deal for 99 pence...

Advantages: One of the funniest MST3K episodes ever, Mike Nelson as 'Torgo'
Disadvantages: None except having to experience possibly the worst film ever made

Get to the chopper!

Advantages: Great cast, funny in places, brilliant action and SFX, excellent plot
Disadvantages: None

...of a weekend duck hunt, picking off the commandos for sport- is brilliantly realised: an 8 foot tall killing machine with a Rastafarian/samurai appearance that's armed to the teeth with lethal alien weaponry ranging from deadly razor-sharp metal claws to a devastating shoulder-mounted plasma cannon. The predator likes to tear off the heads of its prey and polish them up as trophies, and Arnie becomes locked in a mano-a-mano conflict with the creature and must employ all of his wits if he is to survive. Predator takes all that is great about 80s action movies- the cheesy one-liners, the over the top senseless violence, the endless gunplay, adds to it a powerful and bombastic musical score before giving the whole thing utterly believable and incredibly exciting sci-fi twist, resulting in a truly special film that can be watched again and again...

Kefalos and the Pantheon, just heaven.

Advantages: Up the hill and very quiet.
Disadvantages: None that we could find

...We have holidayed in Greece for the past 16 years and visited many islands. This year it was Kos. I saw Kefalos advertised for £250 each for 2 weeks, and as we wanted to do some island hopping at the same time thought that this was a good price. We were booked into the Hotel Pantheon in Kefalos,. We arrived at 4-00am in the heat of 23 degrees to be shown to our rooms by Manos. Bed was the greatest need at that time so off to sleep we went. We woke up some time later to the view that you see attached. The Pantheon is run by Manos and Janet, husband and wife and Babbis and Maria his brother and sister in law. The hospitality was second to none. As the Pantheon is on a hill, with views to the front of Nisyros and from the back Kalymnos, it is a little steep to walk, but you can manage if you take your time. I add that there...
