Marantz SR4400, sounds great, looks lovely
Advantages: Great sound decoding, solid construction
Disadvantages: bit low on power output
...I recently bought a Marantz SR4400 and am very happy. I use it with KEF KHT2000 speakers and it sounds amazing. Saving private Ryan is awesome through this reciever the scene whith the storming of Omaha beach has bullets flying all around you powerfull explosion impacts with thunderous rumbles and tight thuds. At the same time voices can be heard clearly through the centre speaker although I had to increase the volume slightly to this channel.
Features include night mode which allows digital signals to be decreased, for example when watching action films at night while others are sleeping, turn on night mode and when their is a quiet scene followed by a loud action scene the reciever will lower the volume to a quieter level so that everyone in the house does'nt run to the bomb shelter.
The remote control has the abbility to...

Mister 420
Advantages: A Masterpiece that is socially relevant to this day...
Disadvantages: None
...This is yet another Golden classic black and white masterpiece directed by the great Raj Kapoor. It is easily one of Raj Kapoor's best made films. Raj Kapoor made socially relevant films, with a touch of comedy and a lot of drama. He loved great sets which became the focal point of his films and his song picturisations have now gone on to become trendsetters. An all rounder , Raj Kapoor's films were the best that Hindi films could offer to the audience .
Shree 420 is in a way a continuation of Awara, the tale of the repressed, the lowliest of beings struggling to make their presence felt in post independant India . The British influence and western influence is very much a part of all Raj Kapoor films, side by side with the plight of the downrtrodden common man fighting for his existence in the big bad world ..This film again...

Marantz deliver on the sound
Advantages: Great looks, expansive open and detailed
Disadvantages: Lacks a little bite, not ideal for loud volumes
...There are a number of high quality amplifiers at the moment within the budget range and Marantz certainly figures prominently in this group. As with all of these amplifiers, they each seem to provide their own characteristic or sonic signature. In the case of Marantz, I usually consider them to be very open throughout the mid range and delivering a crisp clean bass or "snap" to the music. Therefore it was of a great interest to me to finally hear this particular amplifier which has been so highly praised in many publications.
When you see this amplifier, it looks expensive, it has a curvy attractive design which certainly belies it's price tag. It is clear that there has been a great emphasis on aesthetics to allow this to stand up in this very competitive market and it certainly gets top marks for that.
Secondly a welcome addition...

Rover 420 SDI 1998
Advantages: Practical, safe, reliable, rapid and comfortable.
Disadvantages: Group 11 insurance, not as rust proof as older Rover 200's, soggy suspension.
...I own a 1998 R Rover 420SDI with 104,000 miles. I paid £485 for it in 2007 with tax, mot and full history. It needed a bit of TLC due to it's last owner. (A few dents, etc)
It is a very comfortable car and highly economical returning 70mpg / 600miles per tank on a run.
It has ABS, electric windows x 4, cd x 6 and air con. I find it highly reliable, I am 6ft 1 and I have ample room as does my mate who is taller. Driver's airbag is standard in 1998, so is side-impact beams. It has a very strong chassis with a good size boot. Sadly the exterior metal is not as durable as the older Rover 200. Mine has a ITG air filter on it so it is probably kicking more out than the standard 105 bhp/ 210 Nm Torque.
It is rapid, and it growls. It will cruise easily at 80mph and is not too loud like earlier diesels. Overall a very good car, I have only...

Marantz cd5400 experience uncovered
Advantages: Uncover brilliant level of detail solid build
Disadvantages: Some features seem useless
...I have had this cd player for close to a year now and i can confidentally say it still works exactley the same from the day i purchased it, which compared to some of its rivals wheer the laser goes weak or the motors go slugish the marantz cd5400 truly has a high quality build to it.
If your a marantz fan then you should already have trust in what they can produce and to me the marantz cd5400 is the back bone to a nice high quality system.
It is not the best cd player around but for the money I can gurantee you will find it very hard to fin a cd player more impressive then the marantz cd5400.
When i first listened to my cd5400 i was that impressed by the acoustical detail it uncoverd i actully had to go down stairs and steal my moms mozart collection just to see how great it was.
The only draw backs to this cd player is...

An A/V receiver with the WOW factor
Advantages: Looks great, sounds awesome, feels awesome
Disadvantages: Detailed set up can be tricky - just as well it comes idiot proof!
...for shear high end quality.
Unfortunately they were always well out of my price range!
2) The decision
I was presented with a choice of three receivers, all of which fitted my requirements for connections, features etc. They included a Sony, a Yamaha and this Marantz.
Well, I fell in love with this unit the moment I saw it - especially when the salesman explained that it has been the display model and so they were willing to reduce it to bring it into my budget - SOLD!
3) The machine in general
The unit is that standard DVD/Hi-Fi/VCR width of about 15 inches and is finished in a very nice looking brushed metal - it looks very sleek with the power on as well as off!
Here's a pic for you to drool over:

Canon Speedlite 420EX
Advantages: Light
Disadvantages: None
...According to the manufacturer "The Speedlite 420EX combines good power with a useful range of features, making it suitable for most types of flash photography, both indoors and outside. If you only intend to shoot with a single Speedlite, the 420EX is well worth considering. If you add a Speedlite 550EX at a later date, the 420EX will work as part of a wireless flash set-up.Photo EX-series Speedlites are very good for shooting portraits in daylight. The camera monitors both the ambient light and the flash illumination and balances the exposure to give a natural result. In situations where the flash is too strong, you may be able to use flash expo-sure compensation for even greater control."
I have to agree totally with these sentiments. It has helped me with my photography very much and I have taken some great pictures. Night time...

MaRANTZ and RAVES about this one!
Advantages: Quality sound and build/nice features
Disadvantages: A bit too trebly and crisp
...and I couldn?t have got better than the Marantz CD4000.
SOUND
Marantz are well known for quality products, so I really didn?t need much convincing to get this one. The important thing about separates is balancing your components to create an overall lively but controlled sound, which can be tricky. Your speakers reproduce the sound, the Amp decodes it but your CD player creates it, making it an important starting point in the audio process. The Marantz is sharp and clear, with a very distinct vivid, vibrant sound that would clean up even the most bass orientated systems. It lacks depth however, which would disappoint the bass lovers out there and I find it prefers rock tracks rather than dance or R&B. The old classics belt out nicely, like Mike and the Mechanics `Living Years` and Mike Oldfield?s `Moonlight Shadow`.

420 GSi Fully Loaded - WOW! it's a JAGUAROVER
Advantages: Sporty, all the extras, confort like a Jaguar, excellent driving experience
Disadvantages: Only minor ergonomical issue with the hinges of the boot lid
...Rover 420GSi 1997 R registration - Nightfire Red Saloon Petrol. I didn't want a Vauxhall or a Rover based on bad reputation for being typically unreliable, however this car proved Rover can produce a reliable and very comfortable car which is an absolute joy to drive.
I bought this car 3 years ago for £3000 with 38000 miles on the clock and I've now done 81000miles, it's fully loaded with air-con, cruise control, all electric windows and side mirrors, fully adjustable steering and drivers seat, CD changer and radio/cassette player, Alloys wheels and most importantly ALL LEATHER interior which is like driving from the sofa of your lounge - We nicknamed this car the JAGUAROVER since we always felt like Royalty when we were in it. Leather interior is a must now, because of the comfort and very easy to clean - no stains ever and we have...

RGX420s
Advantages: relatively cheap, made well
Disadvantages: pickups
...The first time I tried this guitar was in a local music shop. I played it. I loved It. I saw the price tag. I loved it more.
I actually ended up buying this model as i thought it was a realy nice instrument and with a little tinkering could realy play well.
Firstly here are some facts about the Yamaha RGX420s
Construction:
Bolt on neck
Scale Length: 25-1/2" (648mm)
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Radius: 13-3/4 (350mm)
Frets: 24
Body: Alder
Vibrato System: Double Locking
Pick ups: 2 x Humbucker (Ceramic)
Pick up Switch 5 - Position Control
Master Volume & Master Tone
Direct Output Switch Coil Split By P/U Selector
I have neva been to keep on the overall style and shape of this guitar. It has a very hard rock, metal look and i feel this is not all the guitar has to offer.
It comes standard with twin humbuckers...
