Anyone for Marbles?
Review of Cadbury Marble by  Fruity_Tart

Advantages: Luxury taste, availability
Disadvantages: The bar can get a bit soft

...Wandering around the supermarket this afternoon I came across a shiny purple wrapper. It could only be Cadbury's and today I just want ANYTHING Cadbury's. And being as a Marble bar was the first thing to grab my attention I thought it only right to choose that! Marble was launched in 1998 and in the same year won 'Confectionery Product Launch of the Year'. When it first came out I remember eating them by the bucketload and then I just forgot about them. Until today that is... :o) oOoOo THE WRAPPER oOoOo So now I'm sitting here in front of a shiny purple wrapper broken up with equally shiny cream and brown swirls. Marble pronounces itself to be 'unashamed luxury' and I've got to say the wrapper looks pretty classy. Golds and creams and browns swirl perfectly around the deep trademark Cadbury's purple and in my opinion... Read review

Keep your marbles cool
Review of Cadbury Marble by  Discerna

Advantages: Delicious taste
Disadvantages: Can go very soft if not kept cool

...“Unashamed Luxury” is the Cadbury’s promise on the wrapper for their Marble chocolate. Not bad for 35p methinks. That’s the price at my local store where I have often purchased a bar. They’re widely distributed in supermarkets, newsagents and other confectionery outlets, but I was surprised to learn today at my local petrol station that they hadn’t heard of them. Like many of Cadbury’s offerings, Marble chocolate comes foil-wrapped for freshness with a predominately purple design on the package. The “bar” is about 6 inches long, about an inch wide and about half an inch thick, but can be distinguished by the word “Marble” in white lettering along its length. As you pick it up you will feel the contours of the 5 chocolates that comprise the “bar”, and you will be able to read the description on the edge of the packet: “Milk... Read review

Dont let me lose these Marbles.
Review of Cadbury Marble by  ian4552

Advantages: Cadbury's chocolate and praline
Disadvantages: Goes a bit soft when warm.

...Ok ladies and gentlemen im back and yet again im stuffing chocolate down my throat. Its a dirty job but somebody has to do it....lol. This time I have rediscovered an old favorite. I was in the Spar at the end of my road. Looking for something to take care of my need for a chocolate fix, when i saw the bars of Cadbury Marble. I had not had one of these in ages and felt that i should once again taste its smoothness on my tongue. So 2 minutes and 47p later I left the shop. ---------------- Packaging: ---------------- The wrapper is a shiny purple broken up with equally shiny cream and brown swirls. The word Marble in white lettering running its length. Underneath this are the words "unashamed luxury" At the end is a picture of the Chocolate that makes my mouth water just thinking about it.! --------- Taste: --------- Once... Read review

Marriott Marble Arch - London
Review of London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch, London by  jomarannetyn

Advantages: Best bed i have slept in
Disadvantages: No tube station close by

...Me and my husband stayed at Marriott Marble Arch Hotel for our Wedding Anniversary,(Bonfire Night) we stayed from 4th - 6th November 2006 as i wanted to go on the London Eye this year as i thought we would get a good view of the fire works. The hotel is of a very high standard and is kept well maintained, although we felt it was expensive for where it is situated compared to other hotels. The bedrooms are very tastefully decorated and are quite roomy compared to other hotels. It had a queen size bed which is about the size of a double bed plus half again, the mattress was soft and comfortable (which i like) no good if you like a firm one and the pillows were large and fluffy, it is the best bed i have slept in i had a thoroughly good night sleep. The room also had a shower/bath and a sofa, TV with alarm clock and telephone, iron... Read review

Sar's bar not Ma's bar
Review of Lush Ma Bar Bubble Bar by  duskmaiden

Advantages: smell, thick bubbles, moustursing efect
Disadvantages: limited edition, wee bit pricy using it all in one go

...milk coloured chocolate. It actually makes me think of Cadbury’s Marble before it is squished and melted together to produce that delicious blend of white and milk chocolate. It also has a little sugar cube crown just to give that extra bit of sweetness. Yes it is pretty but the main factor of my purchasing decision was the smell. Oh this is absolutely wonderful. It has a heavenly rich chocolaty scent with heady notes of caramel and honey and all those things that are yummy but the dentist does not approve of. On touching the bar the delicious honey scent seems to linger for a long time. I was in love. I could not wait to buy it and chuck it in the bath. So to my bathroom. A bubble bar for those that do not know is basically solid bubble bath so there are no leaks and nasty plastic bottles to pollute the environment. I do like... Read review

Marble Blast Ultra (Xbox Live Arcade)
Review of Marble Blast Ultra (Xbox Live Arcade) by  weekimmy

Advantages: Addicting, Exciting, Funny, Fantastic
Disadvantages: Frustrating

...You can download this game from the Xbox market which usually works out to be round about 500 - 800 points. If you are doing it this way you will need to buy a points card which costs round about £18 to be able to have points and use these points to download this and many other arcade games. However you can buy the game also from the shops with another 5 games in it for about £20. I would probably advise you to get the actual game and not download it, but it works out the same maybe saving a little bit of money. I play this regularly on the Xbox 360 and it is so addictive. You control a marble all around different levels to reach the finish. Sounds simple, but there are little tricks. Sometimes you need to collect red gems which are sometimes in hard place and only when you get them all the finish opening will open and you... Read review

Run marble run marble run run run
Review of Galt Galt Marble Run by  mumsymary

Advantages: Good for eye tracking exercises
Disadvantages: its ok

...We have a marble run at school it is made by Galt. I must admit I rarely use it with the children. T his set is made with bright primary coloured pieces of plastic. Curved pieces, tubes and shoots. In the basic set there are 6 chutes, 6 curves, 9 tubes, 3 bases and 6 marbles included. This basic set will cost you about £11.oo. There is a super marble run that costs about double the price and contains about double the amount of pieces. This toy is suitable for children aged about 4 years to 8 years old The marble run is a construction kit all the pieces fit together in a variety of different ways. Children have to work out which way will be best so that the marbles will run fluidly along and down the run. When the run has been made a marble is released at the top and will run slowly down the chute around the curves till... Read review

The Oyster Bar
Review of Bibendum Restaurant and Oyster Bar, London by  sister_ray

Advantages: laughing at the fashion junkies
Disadvantages: difficuly in being seated at weekends, no resevation service

...the Oyster Bar will be subjected to popinion this time. The enterance to the Oyster Bar is found via the main enterance to Michelin House, where you will be met by a smiling face and an invitation to a seat at one of the marble tables, if one is available of course, which is extremely unlikely on saturday afternoon, and later on, on sunday lunchtime, and it is recommended you wear your biggest patience pants if you want to eat their at these times (unfortunately the Oyster bar works on a first come first serve seating arrangement so reserving tables is out of the question). You may arrive at a time where you have a choice of tables, which may be 'outside'(the main Michelin House hall way), or 'inside'(the smaller bar area). Outside offers airier more spaceous dining and the opportunity to 'people spot' if that is one your preferred... Read review

I lost my marbles before I even opened the box
Review of Galt Galt Marble Run by  molelover

Advantages: fun to construct and time-consuming for children, not great value for money
Disadvantages: you need more than one set, marbles get lost

...I bought this marble run for my 3- and 5-year-old nephews. With the younger one it's me who ends up building it, and him who gets to drop the marbles down... it's suitably noisy fun for that toddler age group, and at 28 I still quite like constructing things, so it's not a big hardship! The older one however is happy to have a shot at building and will spend quite a while constructing his own marble run. He'll probably become an engineer like his father! It's the same principle as domino rally - you build first, which is the fun bit, then release and watch the effects. It's a very simple idea - you just fit the pieces together, drop your marble at the top, and watch it run through. A quick lesson in cause and effect! It's a lot of effort though, for a short-lived reward (just like sledging.) But if you enjoy the effort as well... Read review

Use your Marbles
Review of Marbles Card by  aflynn_01

Advantages: good interest rates, low balance transfer rates
Disadvantages: resetting of internet password is slow

...Well orginally Marbles was going to be the 'first' internet credit card but Egg got in first! Marbles is issued by HFC (Household Finance Corporation) Bank PLC, a large American company. Marbles has been around for about 3 years now and has some very attractive features. It has an Interest Rate of 14.9% on purchases and you can get an introductory rate of 1.9% fixed for 6 months. This gives a blended interest rate of 13.4%. At this point I better explain what blended interest means!! Those chaps at Trading Standards decided in their wisdom that we were all being ripped off by credit card companies. We couldn't work out for ourselves that an APR of 0% fixed for 6 months would not go on for ever. So they have made the credit card companies introduce a blended interest rate. So if you have a 1.9% intro rate for 6 months... Read review
