Nice Food, Nice place

...It was my cousins 17th birthday last week and my auntie and uncle asked my parents and I if we wanted to go out for a meal to celebrate. When we agreed they said they would book a table at Marco Polo in Newcastle for Saturday night. Where is it? Marco Polo is an Italian restaurant located on Dean Street in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is near to the metro station and taxi's can be found outside. According to their website it's the place to be in Newcastle. My auntie and uncle have been before but they said it has been refurbished since they were last there. It looks really nice and it's clean. The Menu When we went in, they showed us to our table and gave us some menus. The menus were quite unusual. They were tall and thin and they opened out like a fan. Potty About Polo

...At the tender age of 22 I am lucky to have any teeth left after the amount of Polo's I used to eat at secondary school. Fortunately for me I have excellent teeth, but that's no thanks to the vending machine company who installed a sweet confectionary vending machine in our school hall and our sports hall. As a result I think I was known for having at least one packet of Polos in my pocket at any given time, and I mean at least one. Each packet of Polo's between 1997 - 2002 used to cost 0.20p from the vending machine which always left plenty of dinner money left over. They are also the most convenient mint to stash in a small blazer pocket and distribute amongst friends without being noticed by the eagle eyed teacher. ...Polo is one of those fragrances that will always be on the shelves. With its high-powered pump spray you get a big splash that is guaranteed to wake you up (honestly it always makes me sneeze). It has a very strong scent and very long lasting, personally I prefer to use it as an air freshener then to actually wearing it. This definitely is a Fathers day present, but please keep in mind it is a very well made fragrance and people who like the strong scent will love this and put it among their collection....

Sugar Free Polo Mints, - saved my life!

...Hello and welcome to my review of Nestles Sugar Free Polo Mints. I came across these mint a few years ago, I had never been a massive fan of mints but I needed something to help me stop smoking and thought that Sugar free mints would be better than normal Polo's . I mean after all they have "The British Health Dental Foundation Aproval" on the package! I then found there is something special about Polo mints, there not as strong flavoured as Trebors extra strong mints which for me are too power full. I am aware there is a version of Polo mints that are EXTRA STRONG. I will leave those for now as I concentrate on the Sugar Free variety. Spearmint Polo's

Advantages: taste wonderful

...Spearmint Polo?s I am finding myself eating more and more mints these days for fear of having bad breath and also to give me that added little sugar booth through out the day. Polo?s are always such an obvious choice but I find these can often get rather tiresome and to be honest are rather boring. The fact that I can?t stand sugar free polo?s shoves them out of the equation but knowing that Polo?s also do a spearmint flavour is heaven to my ears. Spearmint is by far the most enjoyable minty flavour for taste but not necessarily the best for the ridding of bad breath. For a mere 22pence per tube or packet of these mints I think you really cant go wrong and therefore always find myself buying several packets at a time. Fun and funky Polo 1.4

Advantages: Great fun to drive, nippy and reliable
Disadvantages: Strange pedals!

...The Polo 1.4 was the first car that I ever bought myself so will always be quite special in a weird kind of way! I traded in my old battered Fiesta that my mum and dad had bought me and purchased a VW 1.4 Polo Match special edition for around £10000. The car came with quite a few extras for the money including manual air conditioning and an electric sunroof (very nifty gadget on such a small car!) I am not too sure why the car had both a sunroof and air conditioning though as you only really needed one or the other! It also came with metallic paint and I chose the Silver colour which was great as it hardly shows up any dirt at all and comes up very nicely when it's polished. I owned the 3 door version and you did have to be careful with the front doors as they are very big and heavy and can sometimes blow away in heavy wind...
