Just another marilyn monroe book?

Advantages: The whole book, start to finish!
Disadvantages: There is none really unless you are a kennedy fan!!!

...I remember being 13 and my uncle borrowing me a book on a lady named marilyn monroe! a name i had heard before but never really understood who she was. From the first page of that book i was a hooked fan everything about her was so intriguing and the pictures in the book where truely amazing, at the age of 13 when maybe i should of wanted to be like the spice girls like most other girls my age i was classing marilyn monroe as a beautiful woman who after reading about her life i deeply admired. ...I first became a fan of Marilyn Monroe some twenty years ago. I built up an impressive collection of books, postcards and other memorabilia, but in the 1990s, I had my children and Marilyn became less important in my life. I sold some of my collection, lost other pieces between house moves and until last year, I only had a few items left. Then last year, my interest in Marilyn was reignited. I joined some Marilyn yahoogroups and soon became as big a fan as I ever had been. I decided to start collecting again and after seeing some of Douglas Kirkland's photos on the groups, I looked for his work on Amazon. Advantages: Plot, the clever use of characters, thought provoking.
Disadvantages: Hard to follow at times, very depressing.

...... ok so I lured you here. Just an interesting fact you may not know. Arthur Miller was married to Marilyn Monroe on June 29, 1956 in White Plains Court. Also "The Misfits" was written by Miller for Monroe, and was her last completed film. Let me just admit now - "Death of a Salesman" is NOT the kind of book that I would read of my own choice. I studied it in an A Level English Literature class and now I'm glad I did. I doubt you'll find anything to compare with it unless you've read Sophocles' "Oedipus The King." The story, set in depression era Brooklyn, depicts the life of the Lomans, more specifically Willy Loman. He goes through life trying to make himself a success and never quite achieves the much sought after American Dream. This was a winning combination at the time and still is, as this film retains its appeal. Marilyn Monroe was the youngest of the three, being 27 years old. Lauren Bacall was 29 and Betty Grable was the oldest at 37, but all three were working regularly and pulling in audiences.
