Mario & Sonic - A golden game
Advantages: Various events, multiplayer
Disadvantages: none
...Mario and Sonic. For gamers and cartoon fans, it is a match made in heaven. Move over fish and chips or Ant and Dec, there is a new double act here.
GENERAL GAMEPLAY:
Like its sports predecessors, such as Wii Sports and to a certain Pro Evo 08, this game takes full use of the Wii remote. Mostt noticable for the running style, you have to move the remote (and nunchuk) up and down as quickly as possible to run faster. Sounds simple, but after a few longer races, you arms will be like lead. Expect shouts of pain from the more competitive players, and uncontrollable laughter from those watching.
SPORTS:
There is a great variety of sports, which is one reason that it is better than Wii Sports. Obviously there is the 100m or 400m sprints, and also hurdles, using the new running style. The aquatics is my faviourite, as different...

==Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)==
Advantages: variety of games to play
Disadvantages: Slow loading
...Mario & Sonic at the olympic games was the first game i bought after getting a Wii for christmas.
I personally think that it is an excellent first game to get for the Wii. You can happily play for hours and hours becuase of the wide variety of events you can play. These events include;
*"Swimming"
*"Archery"
*"Running"
*"Hurdles"
*"Long jump"
*"Triple jump"
*High jump"
*"Pole vault"
*"Hammer throw"
*"Javeline throw"
*"Epée"
*"Trampoline"
*"Vault"
*"Rowing"
*"Skeet"
*"Tennis"
So as you can see by this list you have a wide variety to choose from but you also have the options of unlocking different games, this can be done by breaking records and so on. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is fun for all the family to enjoy because it has a multiplayer option of upto 4 people. You also get to choose from all your favourite...

Mario & Sonic for kids & adults alike
Advantages: loads of different events, suitable for all, good multiplayer functionality
Disadvantages: tiring controls
...This game has great appeal for children - anything with mario and sonic in would - but is also appealing to adults due to its playability.
Basically, various characters (mario, sonic, luigi, peaches, yoshi...) compete in the popular events of the olympic - track and field such as long jump, high jump, 100m, hammer, swimming, trampolining, archery. You control the players and therefore, there is excellent multiplayer functionality. It's a great game to play at parties (I've found the table tennis particularly popular) as well as with the children.
It's a great game and there's loads of different events to choose from and try to master. Therefore, it'll be a while before you even start to get bored with it. However, the controls for some of theevents can be very tiring, due to what you need to do with the Wii remote. Swimming...

Mario Kart Wiihoo
Advantages: Fun to play, variety of courses and characters
Disadvantages: difficult to play at first
...Unlike most racing games this is really really fun and unique, mario kart allows you to select your character from a wide range, some that have to be won in races in one player mode, and even play as your mii! There is a massive selection of tracks to choose, ranging from easy, such as mario circuit to very difficult, rainbow road., meaning that there is a level of difficulty for everyone. You can either choose to play against your friends in multi-player mode, battle com in one player, or connect to the internet and race against hundreds of people around the world. In single player you have to race each track at 50, 100 and 150cc to complete the game, getting more difficult as you go on as your opponents become faster and the tracks get harder. With two different driving options, one using the nunchuk and the other just the wii remote...

Mario and Sonic in the Olympics?
Advantages: Graphics
Disadvantages: See review
...Mario and Sonic have come together to make a game called "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games" this game was made for the 2008 Olympic Games in China. It isn't a promo game and is still around. But is it worth it?
GAMEPLAY
You can choose from a variety of different games, like 100m, 100m freestyle, table tennis, pole vault etc. These are fun, but some of the controls are hard and get boring after a while.
GRAPHICS
The game has good graphics, and it is a game with both Mario AND Sonic in it. It's great that the two rivals look good together in one game. The graphics are 3D which is also good, because mainly in the "Mario" and "Sonic" games, the graphics are 2D. It's good that they look good in 3D
SOUND
There are good sound effects, like when you land on a mat, but there isn't much music. Most of the characters say...

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Wii)
Advantages: Great fun, realistic actions
Disadvantages: Will tire you out easily
...During the 1990s, if you had a games console you would have probably been in one of two camps: Sega or Nintendo. I certainly was rooted firmly in the Sega camp having had a Mega Drive for many, many years with games like Street of Rage, Ecco the Dolphin and of course, Sonic the Hedgehog. I was a huge Sonic fan, playing the first and second game until completion and then starting up again a few days later as I loved everything about it, the colours, the gameplay.... everything.
So if you tried to convince me that some 10-15 years later that Sonic and Mario would team up in a game, I probably would have just laughed. Back then it would have been an absurd thought but one that any magazine reviewer or computer game fanboy would have only dreamed about.
Well January 2008 saw this realisation with the release of Sonic & Mario...

Mario Kart Wheeeee!!!!
Advantages: Great online play, fun
Disadvantages: Powerups are better if you are towards the back of the race
...--Introduction--
The original Mario Kart first appeared on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) back in the early 1990's. Since then, Nintendos famous plumber and his gang have appeared on every Nintendo format and now its time for them to make their appearance on the Wii. For those of you new to the series, Mario Kart consists of racing over 32 tracks which are broken down into batches of 4, meaning there are 8 cups to win. These cups exist at 3 levels, namely 50cc (easy), 100cc (medium), 150cc (hard), for the first time in a Mario Kart game you are able to ride motorcycles adding a new dimension to the game. Also a first is the introduction of online play which really brings the game on.
--Controls --
The game comes packaged with the Wii wheel which basically is a plastic shell in which the Wii remote sits. This...

Mario Kart wii
Advantages: music, wii wheel, online
Disadvantages: grand prix, cant fight on your own in battle mode
...Many hardcore Mario fans may have been worried by the addition of motorcycles and tricks to Mario Kart but they have done nothing but make this edition one of the best Mario Karts yet, It I still very similar to the Mario Karts we have known and loved over the years.
Gran prix mode, which is meant to be the key part of Mario Kart, is the part of Mario kart that let me down the most, it's not that it's bad or anything, it's just that to get gold trophies in all four different levels you need to a lot of racing and it bores you aftera while.
The best improvment to Mario Kart is the midair stunt system which can ear you a speed boost simply by flicking the wiimote. And when your on a motorbike you can flick your wiimote backwards to do a wheelie which earns you a slight speed bost when your gowing down a straight. however the problem...

Mario Kart Wii
Advantages: The tried and tested success story is updated for a next-gen console
Disadvantages: The single player is still so eclipsed by the multiplayer
...The mario-kart series has been around for a long time, appearing on every Nintendo console thinkable since the SNES- it's a game that consumers anticipate when a new Nintendo console arrives, probably only beaten by a new Super Mario or Legend of Zelda game.
It's no matter of luck how it's got this far however, it has without doubt earned it's pole position ahead of other frantic racing games by quite some margin. There have been many imitators of the Mario Kart format; but none of them have the edge that this series does and that is why I would recommend this game over others in the genre.
On face value Mario Kart is very cute, but do not let this decieve you. There is frantic action in every single race with a range of inventive weapons and differing driving styles. This is a multiplayer game at heart, and is built for you to...

Sonic & Mario Olympics, Perfect Wii Game
Advantages: Lots of players to choose, good variety of events
Disadvantages: The Award Ceremony at end of events is annoying
...-player function (Multiple remotes, not always needed)
I also love how you can compete against your mates when they come round with their remote, and you can use any Sonic or Mario players, or even Miis, (Different characters, have different stats.)
Don't get caught in the hype!
At this current moment, it is extremely difficult to find this game in retail stores for under £40, and are selling on eBay for around £55, don't get catched out, as soon enough it'll be back to normal for the normal prices to do not end up paying to amount of money Guitar Hero costs (£70) Just give it a while, and prices will be back to realistic prices.
My dislikes, and negatives.
Their are a handful of negatives for this game, for example when ever you play an event, at the end, you'll get the 1st 2nd 3rd place thing, and its really annoying people you can't skip it...
