...Marks and Spencer Dine in for two at £10 offer has been running for sometime now, but I hadn't seen it in the new shop that opened nearly a year ago in Livingston, until quite recently - probably because I went at the beginning of the week and it is only on Thursday to Sunday inclusive. I think it has become so popular at Marks that other supermarkets have followed and copied the idea but I have never been tempted in Tesco, as the selection was quite poor, the wine had run out etc. We have tried this a few times now and only once have been disappointed with one product. Marks and Spencer are renowned for good quality food although they do tend to be quite expensive, but in a world where people want to cook quickly they certainly provide easy to cook and tasty prepared food. Steven's On the Hill but not too high.

Advantages: Good swiming pool for a lunch and swim option.
Disadvantages: No Green Beans

...STEVEN'S ON THE HILL. It is set on the road that leads up to the Agios Gordios Hotel, it sounds like it may be quite a hike, but it is not too far, about 100 yards from the Bus Stop. It is a Hotel but we only used the Taverna (Restaurant) so can not comment on the standard of accommodation. It has tables set in the Garden the majority are under cover. There is also a large wood fired oven in the garden but was not being used that night. There is a very good sized swimming pool, so would be a good option if staying elsewhere in Agios to use during the day. The night we called in there turned out to be only one other couple having a meal, so it would be difficult to comment on the atmosphere of the place. Looking thru the menu there was a section where they did themed nights, Greek Night with live music and dancing...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. Back to Johnsons, and bigger and smaller bottles are also available, ranging from 300ml (£1.79) to something big that no website seems to stock (750ml? For something around the £3.99 mark? Perhaps). In the newsagents I used to work in, we had a few bottles tucked away on a high shelf (never to be sold because I was too short to reach them….), and you can also get it cheap in supermarkets and petrol stations. Looking Orange with Johnson's!!

Advantages: Good moisturiser
Disadvantages: Leaves you looking streaky and orange.

...distinctively smell the fake tan. Johnsons have obviously attempted to reduce this smell by adding floral scents. However the two smells simply clash, in my opinion making it even worse! It is easy enough to apply and actually leaves my skin feeling quite soft. Whilst on the first application you can't really see much of a difference, after a number of applications you can see the colour begin to build up. I wouldn't describe the colour as natural - more orange. You can clearly see marks where you have stopped moisturising and your skin in general begins to look quite streaky and patchy. Also one aspect I hadn't thought would be a problem is the marking it has left on clothes and sheets. As it only contains a small amount of fake tan I hadn't expected any of it to rub off my skin, however it did leave several of my bed sheets looking...
