...I stayed at the Marriott Royal County recently.The hotel is very easy to find. Local shops are only a five minute walk away as are local pubs and restaurants. This hotel also makes a good choice. One problem you might find is trying to find a parking space. This is an ideal location from which to explore Durham. There is an indoor heated pool. The service in the hotel was first class. Average Marriott

Advantages: Nice inside
Disadvantages: Slightly unwelcoming atmosphere

...The Marriott hotel in Waltham abbey is about five minutes down the road from me, and my company had its Christmas party there. Because I live so close I had to argue, but eventually they agreed to book me a room in there fore when I was too drunk to want to get a cab home after!! Because I have always lived near this hotel I have never had any reason to go into it and therefore had no idea what I looked like from the inside. Location and outside appearance The Marriott hotel is right next to the M25 turn off and a few turn offs to other A roads, this means that it is in a location with no ships near by and it is not an easy place to get to (you can't walk to it). Budapest Marriott

Advantages: Beautiful hotel with friendly staff

...In February, I went to Budapest with my parents for a few days. My dad booked the break over the internet (flights and accommodation) so he chose the hotel that we stayed in. Having stayed in a Marriott hotel on a previous holiday, I was not disappointed when he told us that we would be staying in a Marriott in Budapest. What I didn't know until we got there was that we would be staying in a junior suite! (The room was discounted when we stayed so we got a better room for our money! :) The Budapest Marriott is located on the riverside of Pest and had a fantastic view of the river Danube. The Marriott - More Rabbit than Sainsbury's!??!

Advantages: Exceptional Customer Service, Location, Free Parking, You can use your Tesco Vouchers

...Background We recently spent two nights staying at the Marriott Hotel in Edinburgh. We had booked through the Tesco Clubcard Deals scheme and intended to use the hotel as a base for visiting Edinburgh Zoo and Deep Sea World. Location The hotel is located on the western edge of Edinburgh, on Glasgow Road, a mere two miles from the airport, and only 4 miles from Edinburgh city centre. It has ample free on-site parking and is just off the A8. It is also only 5 minutes walk from the Gyle Shopping Centre. The bus-stops outside the hotel are frequented by a number of buses bound for both the city centre and the airport. ...~~~HAMBURG MARRIOTT HOTEL~~~ As well as having stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Hamburg several times, I have also stayed at the Renaissance sister hotel, the Marriott, located on ABC Strasse in the exclusive shopping and dining part of the city of Hamburg. The hotel is well located and transfer time from the airport (Hamburg) is under 20 minutes or so with taxi fares also being under 20Euros (£13-£15). Just outside o f the hotel you will find a glittering array of upmarket shops and small boutiques and the hotel is located in a very quiet area and all of the rooms are exceptionally quiet. The Marriott Experience (Copenhagen)

Advantages: A pleasant place to stay whilst visiting the beautiful

...I was so excited about going to Copenhagen that I never really gave much thought to the hotel because that's my dad's department! He sorts out all our flights and accommodation when we go on holiday (and he always does a good job too!) So when he said we were going to stay in a Marriott hotel, I just trusted his judgement and focused all my excitement on what we were going to do once we got to Copenhagen. The Copenhagen Marriott (has 5 stars) ******************************************** The hotel has 11 floors and over 300 rooms. (I think we were on the 3rd floor - not that it would matter as there are lifts!) It also has a number of suites. (Unfortunately we just stayed in a standard room with 2 double beds. ...Durham Marriot Hotel Royal County Old Elvert, Durham DH1 3JN A BIT OF SCENE SETTING: This hotel is part of the Marriott chain but is an old hotel which was once the home of Elizabeth Bowes an ancestor of the Queen Mother. Apparently it was often visited when it was privately owned by Edward VII when he was up in Durham. It has had quite a large series of extensions and now boasts 150 bedrooms, some of which are suites and family rooms all and have en suite bathrooms ( As you might expect in a hotel I would have thought). This is a four star hotel right in the centre of Durham so perfect for a city break as you can park your car in the hotel (complimentary) car park and walk round the city which is very compact and just a hop over the road from the hotel. Birthday Treat For me today with a Marriott stay!!

...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! It was my birthday on Thursday and my partner and I always try and doe something special. Just a little getaway. Nothing extravagant. Last year I stayed at a Marriott for my birthday in Central London but this year we thought we would go for a little drive out of London to Waltham Abbey. It just borders the Woodlands of Epping Forest, and is just off the M25, M11 and the M1. So it was only about an hour journey from south east London but it did feel like I was off to the country!! There is not much in the surrounding area. A 10 minute drive takes you into town but trust me there is nothing there other then a fish and chip shop, Tescos and a couple of dental surgeries! Regents Park Marriott Hotel

Advantages: comfortable and clean
Disadvantages: poor leisure club and not very child friendly

...I stay in Marriott Hotels regularly and have been doing so for the past ten years or so. They are always my preference and the Regents Park Marriott Hotel is always the Marriott that I prefer to stay in when I stay in a hotel in London. I have stayed in there quite a few times (not sure exactly how many) but up until this weekend I had never stayed in there with my family. I have stayed there for business, I have stayed there with friends when we wanted a big night out in London and now I've also stayed there with my family for a family weekend (including children) in London. ...We stayed at this Marriott Hotel in Peterborough for the night about a month ago now because we had been invited to a friends wedding there at the hotel. This hotel has 162 rooms and it is a 3 star hotel. The location is really tranquil and the hotel is surrounded by really nice pretty gardens and large green fields. We paid £90 for a double room and we got a discount for being guests at the wedding, i think breakfast is at a small extra cost but im not 100% sure so you would need to chack this. Its set within 11 acres or so of grounds adjacent to Peterborough's Main Business Park, we found this hotel really easy to find and very well signposted.
