Marseille - culture - climate =beau
Advantages: Gorgeous Climate, Beautiful Culture, Picture moment Scenaries
Disadvantages: driving(?)
...Marseilles is located on the south east of france, near the mediterranean sea - hosts a beautiful climate - lovely hot weather perfect for achieving a tan.
Marseille is the second largest city in France, the region where Marseille is the capital of its region 'Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur ' and is well used for shipments etc.
Around August months the temperature is easily 30 degrees C. It shares a mediteranian climate of hot, humid and dry, the coldest months are January and february (11 degrees C)
Marseille is of great importance to france, - look at the french national anthem - la marseille.
When i went to marseille i stayed in a great villa/cottage with a private swimming pool, i strongly recommend you get a cottage with a private pool it makes the entire holiday worth-while. The pool wasn't heated as the climate is so hot...

A COMPLETE GUIDE TO MARSEILLE
Advantages: Cheaper than England, great food, easy to get to, friendly people
Disadvantages: High crime rate, polluted (aren't all big cities??!?) Its French (Lol)
...how do I get there?
Well despite Marseille being right at the bottom of France it is still remarkably easy to get to and you do not have to rely on the plane. Firstly the obvious way to get there is by plane - British Airways, Air France and Buzz (only from Stanstead) fly there.
Now if you're not too keen on the travelling by plane you can go entirely by train to Marseille. (When I went to Marseille I went by plane so I don't know how much this option will cost but I imagine a fair bit more than an airfare). To get to Marseille by train you need to get to Waterloo Station (in London) and catch the Eurostar to Paris. And then from Paris catch the TGV to Marseille. I'm not sure what the exact journey time would be if you went to Marseille that way but I think the Eurostar takes a 2 or 3 hours and the TGV from Paris to Marseille...

Marseille
Advantages: An interesting Vieux Port (old port) area, good accommodation options nearby
Disadvantages: A noticeably high crime rate, not a great deal to see outside the port and coast areas
...A “reputation for roguishness and danger”, as an older edition of our guidebook states, at first seemed a rather strange claim to make about Marseille. Regrettably, however, crime rates here are among the highest in France, and our own impressions could do nothing but strengthen this view.
I had first visited the city two years ago, in the summer of 1999. That time, I had stayed in a pleasant (though rather unhygienic) youth hostel far from the Vieux Port area, and had avoided any kind of mishap whatsoever. This was still true after a confused two-hour walk back to my accommodation (after the Metro had unexpectedly shut down on Sunday evening), which took me through dark alleyways of the worst description. In fact, it was only other people that ever appeared to hold a grudge against Marseille’s inhabitants...

La Belle ville de Marseille
Advantages: It's a Beautiful city with breathtaking views
Disadvantages: Going out for a drink can proove expensive.
...Marseille is a beautiful city, with some of the most breathtaking views, and historic landmarks. Food is cheaper to buy there. Particularly fresh vegetables. There are plenty of shops and supermakets, and a large street market in Avenue du Prado, near the Castillane. When it comes to restaurants, you are spoiled for choice. But being a vegetarian, I went to a vegetarian restaurant called Country Life, in Rue Venture.
I went on 16th September. However I have visited the city many times before. Being relatively close to home, and thanks to the channel tunnel, it is great to travel there by train. Given the speed and comfort of the Eurostar and TGV, I think it is preferable compared with flying.
Unfortunately, drinks are expensive, even mineral water, if you buy them in a restaurant or a bar. Typical price for a small bottle...

Fruity Soap
Advantages: Sweet fragrance and creamy lather
Disadvantages: Fruity bits get everywhere
...Lush is an eco friendly company that does not test any of their ingredients or finished products on fluffy bunny rabbits or any other animals for that matter. All Lush products are suitable for vegetarians. Carnivores can also use them without any adverse side affects. It is good to know that Lush products are no longer made with palm oil. This has been replaced by an alternative oil base.
The 'Sultana of Soap' is described on the website as "the creamy fruity Rococo one" and is pale yellow or white in appearance with dark bits. This Lush soap bulges with chopped apricots, dried cranberries, and currants. Like many Lush soaps it looks good enough to eat and as the manufacturers say this soap "looks like a big cake of tasty Italian nougat" (as such I always advise to keep them away from young kids). However, you might find the amount...

Inside Soap Magazine
Advantages: All the plots in advance, must read!
Disadvantages: Some people don't like the spoilers, too many adverts
...Inside Soap Magazine is an absolute must for any soap fan! It gives you all the information you could need on upcoming plots that you just can't wait till it's aired to find out about. It's also great if you're going away or unable to watch the shows, so you can still catch up on everything that has happened.
Inside Soap has all the plots and a 7 day TV guide a week in advance, which can be annoying that you have to keep the previous weeks magazine for the TV guide.
The magazine is quite pricey at £1.30 and is a weekly magazine, which comes out every Tuesday. It can be purchased at most newsagents.
The magazine always contains a letter from the editor, currently Steven Murphy; soap star style, which contains a picture of a soap star on an event wearing a great outfit, and providing a cheaper version and where you can buy it...

Soap..Soap..Soap!!!
Advantages: 20% Shea Butter, beautifully moisturising
Disadvantages: er...errr...maybe a little expensive
...There I was on one lazy Sunday afternoon flicking through the channels. Carefully not over doing it or straining my finger..I paused on that lovely tackorama channel QVC.
Well there were these two grown women..literally orgasming over this small tablet of soap. I was'nt really taking much notice until they stated that it was made with 20% Shea Butter. Now I have used the Body Shops' Shea Butter moisturiser, and really liked it. And having really dry skin, I am constantly looking for something that will put a bit of moisture back into it and get rid of that tight feeling.
They were selling them in packs..but I did'nt want a pack of them..I just wanted to try one.So Off I popped to good old Ebay, and found about seven hundred L'Occitane products. It was'nt long before my soap plopped through the door and onto my door mat. And I could...

oo0oo NOTRE DAME DE LA GARDE oo0oo
In the past, the La Garde hill was devoted to three functions : a look-out post (observation), a fortified castle (defense), and a basilica (cult). The Romanesque-Byzantine style religious building was erected between 1853 and 1864. THE SAINT VICTOR ABBEY (Open every day from 08.00 to 12.00 a.m. and from 02.00 to 06.00 p.m.)
Marseille introduced monastic order in Provence. The crypts conserve highly valuable archeological evidence which attest to the presence of a quarry, exploited in the Greek era, followed by a Hellenistic necropolis of which...

A soap full of surprises
Advantages: Smells nice, good on sensitive skin
Disadvantages: looks boring
...I didn't actually buy Milky Bar soap, I received a small piece as a sample absolutely ages ago when having a bit of a splurge in Lush. This is not a soap I would have chosen for myself, nor is it one that I was particularly eager to try - hence why it has sat in a drawer for months on end!
For me, if I'm going to pay the sort of prices Lush charge for a soap, then I want something special from it. Ideally I'd like it to smell amazing, and if it looks good or has some sort of quirkiness about it as many of the Lush soaps do, all the better. When looking at this soap in the shop, I felt it had neither of these things. The smell seemed subtle to non-existent (something it seems was probably due to all the other heady scents floating around the Lush shop, but more on the scent later) and the appearance was very dull. I think the best way...

Soap Me Up!
Advantages: Cleans and is Very Cheap
Disadvantages: Not great smelling
...Tesco Value Soap..........
This is not a product that I would usually buy but with things being to tight at the moment I thought I might as well give it a try. I am not too sure what my partner does with the soap as it seems to go down rather rapidly and we go through tons of the stuff. Up until now I have been buying Dove gentle soap but because I have all my lotions and potions for my face I never use soap on my face which is why I wasn't too fussed about trying this stuff.
For three bars of large soap, you pay a meagre 17 pence! This is a total bargain compared to the price of a bar of Dove soap, which is nearer to a pound for just one bar! Of course you are not paying for the packaging as the three bars comes in a clear cellophane wrapper with the usual Tesco Value stripe across it and not much else. It gives ingredients list...
