...It was in the first of a series of books that the character of Mary Poppins arrived, carried by the east wind, at Number 17 Cherry Tree Lane. This book was published in 1934 but after that the books "Mary Poppins Comes Back", "Mary Poppins Opens the Door" and Mary Poppins In The Park" were also printed. The author of the books P.L. Travers was unconvinced that a film would do the books and the characters justice but eventually she relented and in 1964, 'Mary Poppins' the film was released. It took Disney just over two years to complete and throughout there was conflict between Disney and Travers. Despite this, the film still captured a magical, timeless story. This is why: ***WHAT DOES IT OFFER?*** Marie-Claire is a fashion magazine with special interest articles aimed at women. It's motto is "Fashion With Heart" and it is priced at £3.30. This month's issue (Jan) has 244 pages, plus a 32 page special about hair at the back (confusingly upside down). It has an expensive glossy feel to it with heavy quality pages. However a rough estimation tells me that over 50% of it's content is ads!!. In fact, I leaf through 8 pages of ads before I even get to the editorial. Just Popping

Advantages: Reasonably priced for a double, not too heavy when folded
Disadvantages: its a double... who seriously wants a double!?

...When I sold my Phil & Teds Sport Double pushchair a few weeks back I had thought that I would do fine without a double stroller. My two year old is a strong walker and if i am frank, since returning to work it is only the occassional time where I have both children out and about at once and that's usually somewhere like Asda where I have them both in the trolley. However, returning to work means that the childminder will have them Full-Time and will need a double stroller available until my toddler is more trustworthy. I thought about it a lot and had narrowed my choices down to a Silver Cross POP duo or a Maclaren Twin Techno. It came down to weight in the end, the POP is over a kilogram lighter than the Maclaren and so that was the choice made. Members: Candi, JoJo, Cherri and Maxi made it big with several hits of this album, and it made the LA-raised, Motown signees shoot to fame at the time. 1. ?Candy Man? St Mary's stadium

Advantages: Perfect example of a great championship stadium with a great level of football!
Disadvantages: Can get busy in eating area at half time

...I am not personally a Southampton fan (and nor am I a Portsmouth fan), I actually support Southend United, but I recently moved down to this area and many of my friends support Southampton. Last Friday I was asked by my fiend, who is an avid Saints fan if I wanted to go with him to watch them play at home in a friendly against Celtic and so I said yes. It was a great match and despite Celtic winning 2-0 the atmosphere was great and I really enjoyed myself. I have now visited many different stadiums in my time from very small league 2 team grounds, some with standing sections and the great Nou Camp which I recently reviewed. However, I was pleasantly surprised by St Marys - the home ground for Southampton FC and really enjoyed my visit there. ...Yeah! I found reviews for probably the best tasting snack Kelloggs have ever made (excluding my mid-night cereal snack attack on cornflakes). Pop tarts are a wonderful treat to satisfy your sugar cravings when you're in need of something to tantilise your tastebubs. Basically, pop tarts consist of a chunky shortcrust pasty, roughly the same length as a piece of bread and a little less wide. They come in two flavours in this country: 'Strawberry Sensation' and 'Choco Mallow'. I'm reviewing strawberry, simply because I haven't had the chcoalate ones since I was a little and I prefer strawberry things over chocolate. The strawberry version then, is topped with a thick crunchy white icing and mult-colour sprinkles (just to add more sugar).
