This is why: ***WHAT DOES IT OFFER?*** Marie-Claire is a fashion magazine with special interest articles aimed at women. It's motto is "Fashion With Heart" and it is priced at £3.30. This month's issue (Jan) has 244 pages, plus a 32 page special about hair at the back (confusingly upside down). It has an expensive glossy feel to it with heavy quality pages. However a rough estimation tells me that over 50% of it's content is ads!!. In fact, I leaf through 8 pages of ads before I even get to the editorial. King Henry VIII's Hidden Treasures

Advantages: You learn about the real people of Tudor times, not just Royalty!
Disadvantages: Expensive maybe, location might be considered too out of the way.

Why are they called Roses?

Advantages: Lovely cadbury chocolate

...Before Christmas several shops had offers for tins of chocolates and I bought a big tin of Cadbury Roses. We are still digging into them but I have sampled them all, even the ones I dislike! My tin contained 1.05kg, I do wish I had counted how many chocolates were in the tin, but on second thoughts I don't want to know how many we have consumed although they have been shared with friends and family! Best before date is April 2009, I was surprised to see the contents are stamped on the base although different chocolates could be replaced if necessary. There is information on the makers Cadbury Trebor Bassett and contact details, if you need to complain. Do you prefer daisies or roses?

Advantages: Versatility, great flavours, high quality
Disadvantages: No strong smell

...Every now and then, my dear mum decides to treat us. Whether its on a day out, a trip to the cinema or a special meal for tea, she usually makes a big effot at least once every two to three weeks. I love these times, when me, my mum and two younger brothers go out for a posh meal to a big fancy restuarant or we drive 3 hours to a theme park and spend the night in a hotel. Price and Availability Speaking of getting your money's worth...the Bourjois Khôl & Contour eye-liner pencil retails at £4.20 at Boots. However, getting your hand on the Rose Fantaisiste shade could prove tricky, since it's not available on the Boots website. I can't say whether or not it is still available in store, as I haven't had any reason to look out for it since I bought it. I've had mine for over a year now and it's still going strong. If you're interested in other shades, the Boots website has 7 different shades (albeit it two different black shades and their new, double-ended black and white Khôl Contour pencil).
