...Malaysian Airlines is Malaysia's leading airlines and their well worth of their title. I have been using MAS for long and short distance flight and is well worth the money you spend. Their service is great - remember flying with them to India.... service is very nice, food, might need a bit improvement on the taste and choices on menu. Other than that you get ample leg space compared to other airlines. Once i have travelled on their Business class and it was excellent compared US airways and Jet Airways.
Well, advice to passengers who might want to use this airlines: sign up as a MAS offer membership (its free). with this you would be entitled to their offers which are regularly updated on every weekends. Compare this airline in every aspect and you will never go wrong.

...Having lived and worked in Malaysia for twenty years I have flown on Malaysian Airlines on numerous short-haul,regional and long haul flights.The airline has a modern fleet largely centred on Boeing and Airbus aircraft,their engineering and maintenance standards are reputed to be good, and the hub airport,Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is a delightful,new airport with state-of-the-art facilities.
In flight service by the friendly,polite but efficient cabin crew is a delight. I would rank MAS very highly on this aspect. The in flight magazine tucked into the seat pocket,Going Places,is a good read,although I have come across better ones and the cuisine on board is good but perhaps not the best. ...MAS,the Malaysian flag carrier bills itself as the "Golden Airline" and in many ways it is justified in doing so. I have flown on MAS many times,within Malaysia, and from Kuala Lumpur to London and other places.
I have always found the in flight service to be excellent, the in flight entertainment to be more than satisfactory, and there is quite a lot of leg room on board. The aircraft seem to be well maintained and the fleet is a modern one.
The food is quite good,although frankly I have eaten better on Air Lanka and UTA French airlines. The flight attendants are very friendly and are very helpful to mothers travelling with children.If I have a criticism of Malaysia's national airline it would have to centre on the ground service,which I think could be improved....

...Flew from London to Brisbane was left behind at KLIA by ground staff even though I informed 4 people about my connecting flight to Brisbane Australia (had to see an emergency dr due to food poisoning). Was put on the next flight but my special meal wasn't ordered for me. Then when I rang up to confirm my outbound journey from Brisbane to Malaysia was told that my name wasn't on the flight list nor was it on list from Malaysian to London. Seat allocation number was given but when checking in at Brisbane was told it wasn't available. Plus have to asked air stewardess for my special meal (which none was aware of). When collecting my luggage at the carousel in KLIA was told that my luggage was left behind at Brisbane.MAS blaming Qantas Airline and vice versa (NOTE: both in breach of Montreal Convention).

The complete experince from booking the trip to the end of the trip was superb. I would like to give a big Congratulations to MAS for winning the worlds best cabin staff award 2007. They truly deserve every single bit of it. Check in was fine I might add it is wonderful being a silver Enrich member. I was able to check in through Bussines class even though I was travelling economy class. I was also able to board with business class passengers even though flying economy class. From the moment you board, "Welcome aboard sir" was the greeting.
The wonderful cabin crew also showing you were your seat is truly makes you feel right at home.

...I recently flew with MAS to go to New Zealand. I managed to get a fantastic deal flying return from Aberdeen to Auckland return, although I did have to pay about 6 months in advance to get the deal. They're in partnership with British Midland which means you can get good deals on domestic connections if you need to fly to Manchester or Heathrow.
The service is excellent, very courteous and pleasant, and you're regularly giving drinks and snacks, as well as two hot meals on both legs of the journey. Anything else you need is just a button away if you need more drinks or snacks.
There are a selection of movies and programmes, as well as nintendo arcade games to while away the long hours on your flight which will keep you amused as well.

The mas de l’hermitage was originally a farm where lilies were grown. There is a large wooded area that is terraced. You go up a narrow driveway off the main road through the vineyards to reach the farm. Be warned – this isn’t tarmac and isn’t suitable for low-slung suspension so I was a bit worried about my car bottoming out it. There’s a parking area under tall pine trees. ...I have used Malaysian Air MAS a number of times to fly out to Asia and back to the UK and also internally throughout the Asia area.
What a great service they offer - I used to use BA or Singapore airlines but find MAS better. One advantage is that they are based in the great airport in KL. What a top airport. KL itself is also quire clean and cheap. The staff on MAS are all very helpful. The food can be a bit dodgy but the service is excellent and nothing is too much hassle. Internal flights are also very good on MAS - we paid for a first class internal flight and it only cost £5 more - well worth it so ask when booking....

...i flew on MAS last april when i went from singapore to los angeles....the flight itself was quite alright and i must say that there were no major problem,s with the flight
The flight crew were personable and warm... even to the extent of offering me alcohol (free) and engaging in conversation with me
The in-flight entertainment system was awful... i couldnt see the one big screen from my seat and was left with the option to sleep throughout my long 20++ hr flight
the food was quite alright.... no complaints here but on the other hand... nothing exceptional was served
All in all... the most attractive thing abt MAS is the price..... it is a relatively cheaper airline and is gd enough to be gd value for money...
...breakfast left, just Asian which consisted of chicken curry and rice – a very hot and spicy dish for morning! So I had to settle just with rolls and coffee. And this also happened to my husband, although he was seated in a different section of the plane, which led me to believe that the food on board the plane was mostly Asian, even though more than half of people in the plane were Europeans.
That’s what I can say about the MAS: warm, friendly, but bad choice for food!
Oh, and talking about the price, I noticed the fare is almost the same as other major airlines, not cheaper....
