...I bought a single eye shadow by MaxFactor from their Earth Spirits range of make up. I wanted the look of defining the sockets of my eyes but wanted an 'earthy' colour. I bought the single shadow to use with other eyeshadows I already have by Max Factor. I was very disappointed with the product. It was a small round tub with eye shadow in it, no applicator was provided. I applied the eyeshadow and was not very impressed with it, I could hardly see the colour and it was supposed to be quite a dark heather colour. Within a couple of hours I checked my make up, as we women do, and saw that it had not lasted at all, it had worn off and I was left with the frosted pearly colour I had applied to the area just under my brows and on my eyelids. ...Because Max Factor. I know, I know its an old joke but its such great make up I'm not surprised it had that effect on poor old nivea. Max Factor cosmetics have been around for as long as I can remember, it has only been recently though that I have actually purchased any of their products. I think when I first started wearing make up, Max Factor was one of the brands which I didn't even look at because of the price. So my face was forced to put up with the cheaper brands, theres nothing wrong with these I know, but Max Factor seems to have a longer lasting effect. The prices range from £4 upwards, face powders are approx £4 and the lipsticks go for around £8. Like everything, it depends on where you go to how much it costs. ...It is usually said that you can't have a good moisturiser and a perfect cover foundation in one, but this is less true for Max Factor Beautiful Skin Make Up. When you lay it on the skin, it feels fresh like water. Who should use it? Anyone with normal or oily skin who needs a medium cover effect. Its formulation is also kind on the skin and being parfum free is less likely to give you allergies. Once again it wasn't the right choice for my daily make up needs, but could be the right choice for somebody else who needs a less heavy foundation.... Read review

...The Max Factor Shimmer Panstik is a brilliant product that can be used for both glitzing up your face or body. The panstik is easy to use and can be fitted easily into your handbag. I use this product on its own on my face, but it can be used over foundation to make the look more dramatic. The colour glides on evenly and leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturised and not dry and dehydrated like some foundations can. I love this product because you have the option of using it for face and body so its a great money saving product. The "MAX" was supposed to make eyes look even more dramatic, with fuller volume, thickness and length. Priced at £9.99, it is £1 more expensive than the original Masterpiece Mascara. Is it worth it? I'm personally really impressed by this mascara. The brush is made of rubber-spikey things, which means that the mascara doesn't clump on the brush because the brush isn't made of fibres. The brush is tapered at the end and this allows you to get to the lashes in the corners of your eyes and really open your eyes up, creating a framed dramatic effect. ...Max Factor 3 in 1 Complete Make-up is described as 'a foundation and concealer that drys with the effect of a powder' I couldn't be hassled with my normal 'carry a pressed powder compact - need something more routine' The answer came in a dark blue compact with stylish gold letters on it. MF (or maxfactor) The compact contains a mirror, the creamy 'substance' and a sponge. I bought Soft beige (105) and i found that max factor staff at the department stores are almost bursting to help you find out your skintone. The foundation gives a semi-matt even coverage which stays for a long time. My skin is oily so i found i needed some powder in order to not shine a lot though. ...I bought this mascara becuase it was on offer in boots. I had gone in to buy the Max Factor Masterpiece mascara but opted for Maybelline because the brushes/wands looked similar and it was only £5.49. It\'s pretty good - no clumping, even coverage. The green packaging isn\'t great, but it does mean that it is hard to misplace. I found the brush to be caterpillar like - a bit too long and wiggly. I didn\'t feel ever so secure applying it - thought that it would produce a \'playing with mum\'s make-up effect\'. Surprisingly, it didn\'t and I\'m too old for that anyway. Personally, I prefer the Max Factor brush as it gives a similar coverage, has a similar no-clumping brush that is a bit smaller and sturdier. The mascara is good and I will continue to use it because it does create a nice wide-eyed finish that is pretty, but not too... Read review

...I have tried hundreds of products in my search for the perfect foundation, including maxfactor, and i have concluded that if you have a pale skin or one with yellow undertones, then this range probably isnt for you. My skin, is of the above category, its also a little dry occasionally and of the base products that i have bought from max factor i have found that, yes the facfinity does last, very well but the palest shade was ghostlike on me and the shade down an unattractive orange. It was heavy and dry and accentuated dry patches on my skin, i think to get the best out of this product you need oily /normal skin with warmer terracota undertones. The compact bases have always been too orange toned for my skin so i avoid those as well. However if you are looking for longlasting products, the 'finity' ranges really do last on your face....
