Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation
Advantages: Evens skin tone, looks quite natural, a little goes a long way
Disadvantages: Caused me to break out, encouraged oilyness, didn't stay on amazingly long
...counter. I told her my budget, what my skin tends to be like, how much coverage I wanted and how often I'd be using foundation. For those who'd like to know (and I already explained my skin at the beginning), it went something like this:
- £10-£15 Budget.
- Medium to full coverage.
- I use foundation practically every day.
She recommended Max Factor Colour Adapt, it was around £11 and she happily went into detail about it. It has no SPF but you can easily sort that out by using moisturiser first, it's quite a liquidy consistancy and you only need to use a pea sized amount, it sets almost powder like. Sounded great to me, so I went ahead and got it.
So, Amy, what was it like?
Well, Ciao, I've been using this for around 2 weeks now and it definitely evened out my skin tone; even brought a bit more colour to my face without it looking...

Max Factor Colour adapt Foundation
Advantages: stays on forever and lasted me nearly 2 years
Disadvantages: nothing really
...texture quite charming and it went on to my skin so smoothly. It cost me about 10 or 11 pounds witch isn't that cheap but as it lasted nearly 2 years... i found it good value for money also it dosent go on orange like most foundations do it came on a tinted skin colour
..so it was a nice colour too ....As the texture is quite thick and creamy, I only needed a pea size amount to cover my face and under my chin. when you apply it to your face it goes on like a powder but as if your putting moisteriser on thats how easy it is to use, you can either put dots on your face and rub them in or you can do it however is easier for you. either way it will turn out great with no lines or blotchy parts. I liked to use a soft sponge to sread it out evenly around my face and then pat lightly to set. After putting it on, my freckles were almost all gone...

Max Factor Colour Adapt - Highly Recommended
Advantages: Light to wear, excellent blemish coverage, natural look
Disadvantages: Wears off after a few hours
...Max Factor Colour Adapt foundation is widely available and provides good value for money. The foundation is creamy and feels light to wear, but also offers great coverage of blemishes and flawless, even skintone, providing performance comparable to much more expensive brands. Matching skintone, this foundation gives a very natural look, is easy to remove using cleanser or cleansing wipes, and doesn't dry skin out. It blends easily and the paler shades are great for those with very fair skin. Having said this, however, coverage doesn't last as long as it could, although wearing a powder over the foundation seems to help. Also, the packaging makes it difficult to see how much product is left in the bottle, meaning that I always run out suddenly, without more to hand....

Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation - a pleasure to use!
Advantages: Blends perfectly; really works to adapt to your natural colour
Disadvantages: None
...I have tried number of different brands and types of foundation over the years. I first used Max Factor Colour Adapt when I got a free sample of it after buying some other Max Factor products.
Colour Adapt comes in five shades: Creamy Ivory, Warm Almond, Blushing Beige, the uninformatively-named Natural, and Golden. It claims to adapt to your natural skin tones to provide a natural finish.
The free sample I received was Natural, which is a bit darker than my actual skin tone. I have very pale skin so I thought the sample would be useless. I decided to try it anyway. I applied a very small amount by putting small dots of it on my face and blending it in with my fingers. The product looked quite dark beige, but when I began to blend it in, it looked absolutely fine with my skin tone. I didn't look orange or have any harsh lines...

Pucker up with Max Factor!
Advantages: Stays on and refuses to budge
Disadvantages: CAn cake on the lipts if your not careful
...it's time to move on from lipstick covered teeth yet!
All in all this is a must have for the party season and has many more positive points than negatives, I for one won't be using anything else and I'll just remember that after a few hours I need to use the top coat and I'm away! I can't live without this product and even my Mother owns one or two of them now.
If you don't believe my claims nip into a chemist and try a tester if your not brave enough to put it on your lips draw a line on your hand and leave to dry a minute then try removing it?!
Case closed lol
PS!
Boots have an offer on, spend £12 on Max Factor get free goodie box and in TK ax you can get 4 lipfinity lipsticks for £10 in a case (regular size) and in TJ Hughes they have limited colours but are £2! It really pays to look on markets and in bargain buckets you...

Colour Adapt Foundation?
Advantages: good pump on bottle to aid application, long ;asting
Disadvantages: hard to blend, quite thick
...I went for a Max Factor Foundation as I knew the brand as was intrigued by the 'colour adapt' part of the labelling. As I had previously found it hard to find a foundation that matched and complemented my skin tone (I'm fairly pale in skin colour), this appealled to me as I'm always keen to avoid that over made up look.
The bottle looked good, with a pump for easy application. I went for one of the paler shades, that looked to match my skin tone fairly well. The foundation itself was actually a lot thicker than I was used too, and quite powdery. I thought that this would be good as it would avoid the greasy look that some foundations had given me in the past after a few hours wear,
The thickness of the foundation meant that I actually found it pretty hard to apply. It was difficult to judge the reight amount that would give me...

Not exactly MaxFactor's pièce de résistance!
Advantages: Good, subtle daytime look, easy to remove
Disadvantages: Doesn't deliver on promises, no volume or definition :(
...volume and definition, I don't think it delivers on either. I was hoping for a more dramatic result, and I don't think the colour is very strong. I tend to wear this during the daytime for a subtle look, and for this it's perfect. The mascara adds a bit of colour and length to your lashes, but nothing major. Even with a couple of coats, the effect doesn't build up that much and I personally my lashes look better with just the one coat.
However, I feel let down that MaxFactor don't deliver on their promises. I have the black mascara, and it doesn't create much impact. I said I'd be happy if my lashes looked half as good as the ones on the advert...in all honesty, they don't.
Price & Availability
Available in Rich black, Black brown and Deep blue, it also comes in a waterproof version. If you want more volume, Masterpiece Max is also...

Maxfactor Colour Adapt...Could Be Better
Advantages: Does adapt to your skin tone, easy to apply.
Disadvantages: Not good for oily skin, doesn't last that long.
...I got some Colour Adapt Foundation from an offer at Boots, with a couple of other Maxfactor products, for free. I'd never tried any Maxfactor foundation, but i had used their Masterpiece mascara and thought it was very good, so i gave it a try. The first thing i noticed was that it started off being a little bit too light for my skin tone, but after a few minutes it really did change to the colour of my skin. However, soon after i realised it doesn't really give very good coverage, my skin has some marks and blemishes, which were still visible.
I don't recommend this foundation for people with oily complexions, i have a very oily complexion and it didn't last five minutes. It didn't help with shininess at all, either. The consistency of it is like a liquid but slightly thicker, which i did like, as it was easy to apply. Overall i...

In The Max Factor Top Ten
Advantages: A dual purpose lip stick/ lip colour that provides long lasing cover
Disadvantages: Nothing majpr
...Max Factor have given us 32 colours in the Max wear Lip Colour range, so there is plenty to choose from. Lipstick is one of my vices, I love buying new brands and ranges to try out and I also love to experiment.
But what amazed me about the Max Wear lip colour range was the depth of some of the colours, you would have to be incredibly bold to consider wearing them. Max Factor stress that the range was created with a professional approach and that they wished to give everyone a chance to create an individual look using this new range.
The slimline lip colour holder is extremely attractive, Max Factor have chosen to use the black centrepiece of the pencil slim case to place their name, either side of their name there is a slimline casing each with a long clear plastic cover.
One end of the holder contains the lip colour and the other...
