Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation
Advantages: Evens skin tone, looks quite natural, a little goes a long way
Disadvantages: Caused me to break out, encouraged oilyness, didn't stay on amazingly long
...Ah, the delights of teenage skin. Never know what it's going to do next. One day it's dry, flakey and tight feeling, the next you wish you had a spatula to scrape all the oil off. Not to mention oh so stubborn blemishes.
I personally have all these things going on, combination skin basically, and I've always had trouble keeping spots at bay. Don't even get me started on clogged pores or blackheads! Don't I paint quite the picture?
Anyway, now I've recently started bringing a biiiit more money into the house, I decided it was worth going out and treating myself to a more elaborate foundation.
Meandering around all the makeup counters in Boots, I was completely lost. So much to choose from, I can't even decide what skin type I have nevermind what I'm supposed to put on it...so I decided to ask a representative at the Max Factor...

Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation - a pleasure to use!
Advantages: Blends perfectly; really works to adapt to your natural colour
Disadvantages: None
...I have tried number of different brands and types of foundation over the years. I first used Max Factor Colour Adapt when I got a free sample of it after buying some other Max Factor products.
Colour Adapt comes in five shades: Creamy Ivory, Warm Almond, Blushing Beige, the uninformatively-named Natural, and Golden. It claims to adapt to your natural skin tones to provide a natural finish.
The free sample I received was Natural, which is a bit darker than my actual skin tone. I have very pale skin so I thought the sample would be useless. I decided to try it anyway. I applied a very small amount by putting small dots of it on my face and blending it in with my fingers. The product looked quite dark beige, but when I began to blend it in, it looked absolutely fine with my skin tone. I didn't look orange or have any harsh lines...

Before i had heard of this foundation I had seen the television adverts with a wonderful model with wonderful glowing atractive, flawless naked-looking skin.Perfect ! I thought,
The price was a little surprising at first but i didnt know that it would last so long...it was a little more expensive than my usual foundation for £2.99....'But in the advert it looked like it made the model better looking so it should blatently me look better... and by god it did'the only bad point about this foundation is the packaging looks cheap and at first this really put me off but still i went ahead .... the qulity of the foundation should be reflected through the packaging a bit more to make it look more apealing to protential buyers....
I found its creamy...

Max Factor Colour Adapt - Highly Recommended
Advantages: Light to wear, excellent blemish coverage, natural look
Disadvantages: Wears off after a few hours
...Max Factor Colour Adapt foundation is widely available and provides good value for money. The foundation is creamy and feels light to wear, but also offers great coverage of blemishes and flawless, even skintone, providing performance comparable to much more expensive brands. Matching skintone, this foundation gives a very natural look, is easy to remove using cleanser or cleansing wipes, and doesn't dry skin out. It blends easily and the paler shades are great for those with very fair skin. Having said this, however, coverage doesn't last as long as it could, although wearing a powder over the foundation seems to help. Also, the packaging makes it difficult to see how much product is left in the bottle, meaning that I always run out suddenly, without more to hand....

Max Factor Miracle Touch Foundation
Advantages: Smooth, even, bright complexion.
Disadvantages: Not a huge amount in each compact, and the packaging is a little over complicated.
...The advert for this foundation showed a before and after photo of a model wearing the foundation, and the supposed results on the 'after' photo seemed a little too good to be true like on most adverts! However, when I saw an advert for a free sample, I though I'd give it a go. When i got the sample and tried a bit of the foundation I was amazed at the results and quickly went out to buy some. I found that although the foundation was quite light, it really did give a smooth complexion as it didn't seem to sink into all the little lumps and bumps and dimples on my face. It didn't even seem sink into the wrinkles under my eyes much like other foundations or concealers do. Other foundations have just changed the colour of my blemishes rather than actually smoothing them over. This means that the product is also idea for use as a concealer...

MaxFactor natural minerals foundation - definately not natural
Advantages: Good concept and easy to use bottle
Disadvantages: Gave my skin an uneasy tone
...This is the first minerals based foundation that I have used however it is not the first max factor product.
The product promised a new mineral foundation that would build coverage and whilst smoothing my imperfections and providing me with a 'healthy glow'.
Unfortunately for me the foundation simply did not work. I have fair skin and purchased the shade 'natural 70'. In fact there are also the shades cream ivory, warm almond, golden and bronzed.
I purchased a 10g bottle that comes in a 2 part standing compartment. The top part holds the brush and the foundation is held in the bottom part.
The foundation is very easy to apply you just shake the bottle, remove the lid and dip the brush lightly into the 'sifter'. Then apply the foundation in sweeping motions. The first time I used the foundation I thought I had used it in correctly...

Pucker up with Max Factor!
Advantages: Stays on and refuses to budge
Disadvantages: CAn cake on the lipts if your not careful
...it's time to move on from lipstick covered teeth yet!
All in all this is a must have for the party season and has many more positive points than negatives, I for one won't be using anything else and I'll just remember that after a few hours I need to use the top coat and I'm away! I can't live without this product and even my Mother owns one or two of them now.
If you don't believe my claims nip into a chemist and try a tester if your not brave enough to put it on your lips draw a line on your hand and leave to dry a minute then try removing it?!
Case closed lol
PS!
Boots have an offer on, spend £12 on Max Factor get free goodie box and in TK ax you can get 4 lipfinity lipsticks for £10 in a case (regular size) and in TJ Hughes they have limited colours but are £2! It really pays to look on markets and in bargain buckets you...

Colour Adapt Foundation?
Advantages: good pump on bottle to aid application, long ;asting
Disadvantages: hard to blend, quite thick
...I went for a Max Factor Foundation as I knew the brand as was intrigued by the 'colour adapt' part of the labelling. As I had previously found it hard to find a foundation that matched and complemented my skin tone (I'm fairly pale in skin colour), this appealled to me as I'm always keen to avoid that over made up look.
The bottle looked good, with a pump for easy application. I went for one of the paler shades, that looked to match my skin tone fairly well. The foundation itself was actually a lot thicker than I was used too, and quite powdery. I thought that this would be good as it would avoid the greasy look that some foundations had given me in the past after a few hours wear,
The thickness of the foundation meant that I actually found it pretty hard to apply. It was difficult to judge the reight amount that would give me...

Best foundation yet!
Advantages: Great colour
Disadvantages: None
.../\/\/\ Max Factor - Colour Adapt Foundation /\/\/\
Price: £11.95 - Sainsburys (may be cheaper elsewhere)
34ml tube
I tried 70 - natural
What is it?
This is a foundation that apparently adapts to your own skin tone. I've seen this advertised on television but had not got around to trying it out.
I've recently tried the Age Renew which I found to be very silky on the skin - a little too silky for me. This also made me look shiny in photos. This is what made me choose the Colour Adapt.
Also lot of foundations seem totally the wrong colour. Maybe 'colour adapt' could sort this problem for me.
Packaging:
This foundation comes in a 34ml clear tube. It's quite a large container. You can see the colour of the foundation through the clear part at the top of the packaging. The front of the packaging...
