Packaging is nice enough and I love the sponge applicator, it makes it easier to put it on and to do it evenly. Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation

Advantages: Evens skin tone, looks quite natural, a little goes a long way
Disadvantages: Caused me to break out, encouraged oilyness, didn't stay on amazingly long

...Ah, the delights of teenage skin. Never know what it's going to do next. One day it's dry, flakey and tight feeling, the next you wish you had a spatula to scrape all the oil off. Not to mention oh so stubborn blemishes. I personally have all these things going on, combination skin basically, and I've always had trouble keeping spots at bay. Don't even get me started on clogged pores or blackheads! Don't I paint quite the picture? Anyway, now I've recently started bringing a biiiit more money into the house, I decided it was worth going out and treating myself to a more elaborate foundation. Meandering around all the makeup counters in Boots, I was completely lost. So much to choose from, I can't even decide what skin type I have nevermind what I'm supposed to put on it...so I decided to ask a representative at the Max Factor...

Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation - a pleasure to use!

Advantages: Blends perfectly; really works to adapt to your natural colour

...I have tried number of different brands and types of foundation over the years. I first used Max Factor Colour Adapt when I got a free sample of it after buying some other Max Factor products. Colour Adapt comes in five shades: Creamy Ivory, Warm Almond, Blushing Beige, the uninformatively-named Natural, and Golden. It claims to adapt to your natural skin tones to provide a natural finish. The free sample I received was Natural, which is a bit darker than my actual skin tone. I have very pale skin so I thought the sample would be useless. I decided to try it anyway. I applied a very small amount by putting small dots of it on my face and blending it in with my fingers. The product looked quite dark beige, but when I began to blend it in, it looked absolutely fine with my skin tone. I didn't look orange or have any harsh lines...

Not exactly MaxFactor's pièce de résistance!

Advantages: Good, subtle daytime look, easy to remove
Disadvantages: Doesn't deliver on promises, no volume or definition :(

...volume and definition, I don't think it delivers on either. I was hoping for a more dramatic result, and I don't think the colour is very strong. I tend to wear this during the daytime for a subtle look, and for this it's perfect. The mascara adds a bit of colour and length to your lashes, but nothing major. Even with a couple of coats, the effect doesn't build up that much and I personally my lashes look better with just the one coat. However, I feel let down that MaxFactor don't deliver on their promises. I have the black mascara, and it doesn't create much impact. I said I'd be happy if my lashes looked half as good as the ones on the advert...in all honesty, they don't. Max Factor Colour Adapt - Highly Recommended

Advantages: Light to wear, excellent blemish coverage, natural look

...Max Factor Colour Adapt foundation is widely available and provides good value for money. The foundation is creamy and feels light to wear, but also offers great coverage of blemishes and flawless, even skintone, providing performance comparable to much more expensive brands. Matching skintone, this foundation gives a very natural look, is easy to remove using cleanser or cleansing wipes, and doesn't dry skin out. It blends easily and the paler shades are great for those with very fair skin. Having said this, however, coverage doesn't last as long as it could, although wearing a powder over the foundation seems to help. Also, the packaging makes it difficult to see how much product is left in the bottle, meaning that I always run out suddenly, without more to hand....

...Lipfinity I am a great fan of Max Factor products and buy certain items regularly but I cannot say that I am a fan of lipfinity or indeed that I would purchase it for a second time. Lipfinity is a lipstick designed to stay on your lips all day without reapplication being required. It comes in small box and has two small tubes inside. The first tube is your lipstick with an applicator built into the lid. The second is a white stick that you apply ontop of your lipstick once it is dry and can reapply dring the day. My first problem with the product is the colour. I have tried lots and lots of testers but have never been able to find a shade thats suits me (I find this unusual) I find all the colours a bit too bright for me. I chose Cinnamon and sugar, it suited my natural skin tone and though the colour showed up well on my lips it didn't stand out like a sore thumb. First of all you apply the layer of lip colour, I pre-moisturised my skin so that the colour wouldn't sink into any dry skin. The lip colour glides on very easily but once you have fully covered your lips with a thin layer they do feel slightly strange for a short while. The lip colour is matte, so when you put your lips together they don't feel as moist and supple as when you have just applied a layer of normal creamy lipstick. The matte colour feels far drier but you soon adapt to the feeling. The lip colour is intense, it almost stains your lips, I can see why Max Factor have said that the product is long...

Advantages: stays on forever and lasted me nearly 2 years

...but i am a very freckley person..but my skin looked flawless either way. It blended in perfectly with no traces on surface witch is great as i dont find the lines round some peoples face's nice to look at as they are unattractive. The staying power was great and my face looked fresh and radiant all day long ... and night.....The foudation worked as a nice moisturiser too. I loved to touch my cheeks alot because it felt so soft and nice, no dry patches at all wtich is even better......Though the foudation's texture is thick, the removal is effortless... All you need is half of a cleansing facial wipe and it removes all the make-up off you face...or if you dont have a wet wipe you can always use a bit of damp tissue paper to remove it either way it comes off really easy.so after all this is a perfect product for me, as it is resonably...

...facial wipe and it removes all the make-up off you face ... i dont understand why people buy cleansing facial wipes and use all of one wipe on there face ... it is a wast .. all you need is half .. it sounds cheap .. but it is true and saves money.. ..or if you dont have a wet wipe you can always use a bit of damp tissue paper to remove it either way it comes off really easy. so after all this is a perfect product for me, as it is resonably priced and high quality. I'm sure I'll come back to it again and again....to get the make-up out, all you do is push down on the little button "thing'y" witch is really easy. there are 8 different colours to match your skin colour. there is : creamy ivory warm almond blushing beige sand << i had this one as it blended with MY skin tone golden toffee bronze and natural i would i deffenatly...

...It is usually said that you can't have a good moisturiser and a perfect cover foundation in one, but this is less true for Max Factor Beautiful Skin Make Up. When you lay it on the skin, it feels fresh like water. Who should use it? Anyone with normal or oily skin who needs a medium cover effect. Its formulation is also kind on the skin and being parfum free is less likely to give you allergies. Once again it wasn't the right choice for my daily make up needs, but could be the right choice for somebody else who needs a less heavy foundation....
