...It's fair to say that I'm more than a little bit Placebo mad; in fact, it's truer to say, that I'm obsessed with the alternative three piece! As a loyal devotee to the band, I'm always on the look out for new and exciting memorabilia to satisfy my band needs. So, one shopping trip in Lincoln a couple of years ago took me - as always - to a music shop. At the time, I hadn't got all of the Placebo albums themselves so I went over to see what they'd got in stock. With my Mother doing her best to divert my attentions from their records (later I'd find out this was because I would be getting them for my birthday), my fingers stumbled across an unofficial CD called 'Maximum Placebo' claiming to be an 'Unauthorised Biography' of the group. Not even close to Maximum

Advantages: A good general idea and storyline
Disadvantages: Underdeveloped characters, annoyingly short chapters

...Whilst all the other reviews of this book rate this product very highly, I have to sadly disagree. The story starts with Maximum Ride, a girl who was grafted with avian DNA, giving her wings and ultra-light bones, living with her five friends - Iggy, Fang, Nudge, Angel and Gasman (who share the same bird-like qualities) in a house by themselves. They all grew up in a cruel institute called the School, where many kids like themselves are turned into mutants by evil scientists, eager to push the boundaries of science. The 'Flock' , as they're called, managed to escape the school with help from Jeb Batchelder, a whitecoat who felt pity for them and helped them to get out. Maximum Risk - Minimum plot

Advantages: It has Van Damme - twice
Disadvantages: It has very little else

...Maximum Risk takes a somewhat overused idea and tries to put a new slant on it ? whether it succeeds or not is at the discretion of the viewer. Van Damme plays twin brothers, one of whom is prematurely terminated towards the beginning of the film, in France where it happens his twin brother (who, surprise surprise he has been separated from since birth) works as a policeman. A friend of the non-terminated Van Damme is at the scene of the death and is worried for his police colleague before discovering he is still alive. The plot, in all fairness, is interesting enough, and while it is no masterpiece it does offer some excitement and credibility. However non-appreciators of the Van Damme genre are advised to stay well away....

Maximum Ride is DEFINITELY A MUST-READ!!!

Advantages: Patterson's style of writing is simple and easy to understand. Its full of action and surprise!
Disadvantages: THERE ARE NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

...Maximum Ride is about six children, perfectly normal children- except for the fact that they are 2% bird and have wings. They are living in hiding, constantly on the run from Erasers (vile werewolf-like creatures and agents of the School). Max, Nudge, Iggy, Gazzy and Fang are forced to venture to the heart of the fears and nightmares from their horrific childhoods at the School, when the youngest member of the flock- six-year old Angel- gets kidnapped by the Erasers and brought to the School where death comes as a relief. Maximum ride = maximum action

Advantages: A good quick read for kids, Action packed, slightly witty

Maximum Velocity

Advantages: Fast, furious and fun

Story F-Zero: Maximum Velocity is a futuristic racing game. Nintendo produces the F-Zero series, with the franchise beginning in the early 90's on the SNES. Next was F-Zero X, on the N64 and was, for a long time, the fastest game money could buy. Here we have Maximum Velocity, which is for the GBA, although it can be played on a Gamecube through a Game Boy Player. Maximum Protection with a great smell, Dove Protection Cream

...Dove Maximum Protection Cream I have always had a problem with "wetness" under the arms, not a subject often talked about but many people suffer with it, so I was pleased when I saw an advertisement for a product which promised to do something about it. Many anti-perspirants don't do as they say on the tin, especially when you require a lot of protection and something to take away the moisture.
