...Maybelline Dream Mousse I recently started using eye colours other than the powders which I had always bought, and having toyed with liquids, decided to give the mousse types a go. Advertised as being air whipped, and combining the long lasting wear of powder eye shadows with the feel of cream, I decided that this would probably be easy to apply, and leave me with less blending to cover any creases around the eye area. ~~The eye colour~~ The eye colour comes in a small clear pot with the screw on/off lid being the colour of the eye colour, so at least if you have a few of the pots, you won't be scrabbling around looking at the bottom for the name of the colour. Advantages: Works well when blended with other eyeshadows, good for colour layers
Disadvantages: Can be clumpy, little colour when used alone and in little amount.

In silver writing on one side I'm told it is Maybelline Define-A-Lash waterproof mascara and that's it on the information stakes. The Mascara.... Maybelline Mineral Foundation POWDER - A must for spot prone skin

Advantages: great covergae, does what it's supposed to!!!
Disadvantages: clumps easily, pulls out your eyelashes!!!

...I used this product for a few months......that is until i found i was loosing eyelashes at an alarming rate!!! So what is this product like. Well with the glamorous tv adverts showing models with super thick, gorgeous eyelashes, you would expect the bees knees eh?!!! mmm maybe-lline not!!!! THE PACKAGING well it look like any other mascara you would see. It's black and it has it's name in blue metallic writing. Yeah it looks good and is smart, but not very eye catching to say the least. THE BRUSH The "brush" with this product isn't really a brush. It is in fact a comb. I wasn't too sure about this at first, but to be fair it is very effective. Advantages: Not too expensive, very natural

Advantages: Long, separated and defined lashes.
Disadvantages: They advertise it with a model wearing false eyelashes.

Advantages: nice smooth finish, easy to apply
Disadvantages: smears off within a few hours of wearing.. makes face shiny

...So.. what with economic recession and the credit card crunch I was intrigued when I read something somewhere about normal brand foundations being essentially the same as expensive brands.. and so this summer i decided to try and see if this was true and instead my usual chanel matte lumiere i found myself browsing in boots... i'v used and liked alot maybelline products - their great lash mascara is super by the way - so i was keen to try one of their foundations. My friend had used the dream mousse foundation with great results but as i have slightly dry/dehydrated skin i picked up the new liquid version... ah yes dnt we all love anything with big NEW sign on it!! It comes in a little glass bottle of 30ml's and as its a fluid foundation should last awhile. Being made out glass the packaging is recylcable apart from the plastic pump...

Advantages: A great help for puffy eyes.

...A mid life crisis ? - when you wake up in the mornings, take a look in the mirror and discover that you have eyes that look like arrow slits due to water retention then that is a crisis in my books. I never had any problems with puffy eyes until I entered my fifties and then it started with a vengeance.
