Silent state of the art and great looker

Advantages: Looks cool, works great, cleans brilliantly
Disadvantages: Cost, but you get what you pay for.

...I have had this machine now for 3 months now and can honestly say, no regrets. The machine is beautiful, with the state of the art digital selection system that is not only very easy to use but allows for great flexibility. The 2000 rpm really dries clothes that shits dry off the rack in my London flat within half hour. On average, I only use 1600 to 1800 rmp for drying. Also, the delay wash feature - you actually select the time for the machine to start and it shows when the washing cycle will end. So you can time it to come on so that your clothes will be washed by the time you get up. Wasing options, well there can sometimes be too many of these - and the Maytag is no different. I like the hand wash cycle - its just so gentle and you can control the temperatures too. Best of all, its SILENT - even at 2000 rpm spin dry...

Maytag Stainless Steel dishwasher

Advantages: Quiet, large inside, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Intermittant fault that doesn't seem to be fixable, expensive

It was so quiet that when we first used it we didn't think it was working! It is easy to use, with lots of programmes. It has a low salt and low rinse aid indicator. Careful this doesn't fall on you!

Advantages: Big, good performance, good features.
Disadvantages: Huge, loud, expensive

...easy to unscrew, it sometimes does not work properly. The chisseled glass tray is prone to shattering too -so be careful!. It splinters into too many bits. The other problem is with its size -yes, capacity is good, but you have to find a place to fit this thing in and have the strength to set it up. Maytag engineers however are helpful and friendly although the sales and support department drag their heels all too often. A final problem is that it is loud -and if the fan on the compressor goes out of alignment slightly it will become irritating. Also, if you put it right next to a wall, the sound will be perfectly conducted throughout the whole building. Overall, its a cool fridge -but only if you can afford it and have room....
