The main reason for purchasing it was to buy a larger car, as I had a peugeot 206 and my husband had a toyota celica. We chose the 'sport' model, which on our car has the full body kit also, as my husband enjoys driving sportier cars. We did look at the TS and TS2 models, but they did not have as many godies on them and did not look and feel quite so sporty. The space in this car is excellent and the boot space is ENORMOUS. It is a very comfy ride and handles well. The back seat seats 3 people fairly comfortably and the front and rear leg room is good. ...Having owned my Mazda now for about a week I believe I can safely say that I am extremely please with all aspects of the car. lets take you through a few areas... EXTERIOR From the outside the Mazda 3 is a Marmite effort. People either love the look, or you hate it! I for one think it is gorgeous, loosely Represrnting the Unique Mazda RX8 it has pround arches, cat like tail lights (get it TAIL lights "meow" he he, oh nevermind) and a sweeping smiling grill. This model comes with 17" 5 spoke wheels as standard, and they are alot more attractive than most factory fit wheels. Also being 5 spoke they show of the all round Disc brakes and make the alloys very easy to clean. Mazda 3 TS2

Advantages: Roomy, attractive look, quiet drive
Disadvantages: drive is a little dull

...When you have a look at the Mazda 3 it reminds you a bit of Marmite. You either love it or hate it. I hate Marmite, but the look of this car instantly attracted me. It reminded me of a good woman. Curves in all the right places but ample of it to make it comfortable. It looks modern but at the same time there is something quite retro about it. I have heard it described as a grandad car too, though not so sure about that. When you get inside it has a great deal of room. You can quite comfortably fit 3 people in the back and as the driver you can move your chair back a good distance without impeding the passenger behind you. There is plenty of storage room, with two compartments in the middle and one of the largest glove compartments I have ever seen. The boot is large but not very wide. ...I had a 2008 Mazda 6 2.0TS 6 Speed as a hire car while on business while in the UK. Firstly the cabin is well well put together and everything was within easy reach. The model I had was equipped with a few options dual climate, 4 x electric windows, cruise control, electric mirrors, steering mounted controls etc. I found the radio controls fine to use but the display in the center of the dash very difficult to use as it was only 1 line display. Plenty of space in the car and lots of cubby holes for phone etc. There is also a AUX socket in the center arm rest which is useful if you have an ipod. I dont know about navigation with the ipod connected if it is already difficult to scroll through radio stations. The model I drove had a 6 speed box which wasnt the greatest. Gears were very close together and lacked feel. While driving...

Mazda RX-8 - An experience

Advantages: Spacious, speedy, stylish
Disadvantages: Fuel consumption - ouch!

...I love cars! I love something with a little 'poke' and something that's got fun factor. Looks are quite important too.......and the Mazda RX-8 ticks all of these boxes. I became the owner of a second-hand 2 year old 192bhp 4 door version a month ago and I like it. It sticks to the road like brown stuff to a blanket......you can do a good 80-90 mph round a sharp bend without losing control of your sphincter and feels very safe and controlled. Steering is quite stiff but very responsive and, again, gives you that feeling of control. It looks good too.....very sleek in profile and a bit of a beast from the front view. The interior is 'ok' but could be better. There's a lot of plastic but it's not too crringeworthy. The 6 CD multi-changer is a nice bonus and the Bose sound system is crisp and clear and does not distort...

Mazda Cruise

...Well I've bought a Mazda 626, six months ago and I must say that there had been no problems with the car. It's the old style M reg and its georgous. The fuel consumption is very good considering its a 2 litre. It has all the modcons such as, power steering, Fuel injection, ABS, Twin airbags, air conditioning electric windows and mirros on both front and back doors and many other gadgets. The seats have been moulded so that you sit very comfortable and snug in them. In the boot theres loads of room to fit your shopping in and more. This is the best car that I have ever bought and would strongly advice anyone to have one....

...warranty! Insurance Insurance is the hidden cost with an import as there are fewer insurance companies that will touch imports even if they are made on the same production line in Thailand. No competition means higher premiums. I had zero no claims discount when I went to get insurance and the best my broker could find was £1200 ouch! now with 4 years NCD it is around £750. Servicing and reliability The Mazda has been very reliable with the exception of both rear springs breaking after about 2 years which cost around £250 to replace. I had a long running debate with MAZDA UK about whether this was a manufacturing fault or not, I had a couple of friends that had similar problems with early years Mazda B2500 and Ford Rangers. Servicing is quite cheap as it uses Ford Parts although service intervals are at 12000 miles or 12months...

...I bought this Mazda last November on an 'X' plate with 35800 miles on the clock. I have never owned a Mazda before nor driven a diesel car so I was a little apprehensive as to whether it would be a good buy but I was after a reliable car (for a change) and had heard good comments about this brand. I also wanted air conditioning, power steering, drivers airbag, remote central locking with immobiliser and at least electric front windows and I could not find another car at the price I paid with all of these as standard (price paid £5600). I took it for a test drive and instantly fell in love with it. The seats are comfortable and the interior is pleasing to the eye and everything seems to be in the right place on the instrument panel. The boot space is also good for a hatchback. The external view of the car is also sporty looking...

...Mazda dealerships must be one of the most laid back I have come across. If you want the hard sell they will do it for you but it clearly is not something they want to do. Naturally, of course they will butter you up and try to make you feel good and you can always rely on a cup of coffee. I was told that Mazda only allot so many cars each year to each outlet but dealers do have to achieve their targets. Why so laid back then? I have come to the conclusion that they feell the cars sell themselves and visitors will return after they have look at the competition and seen the difference. Not cheap of course but if you are anxious for a bit of quality at an affordable price this could be where to go. I think most car buyers would do well to consider Mazda for sensible style, quality of build, reliability and residual value....
