...The McDonalds McFlurry advert is very good at putting it's point across. It is basically employees of McDonalds serving McFlurrys to people but watching their reluctant faces as they have to give the ice cream up. "Heaven for you, hell for us" is the motto used in the advert, and the looks on the faces of the staff is most definitely comical. The advert is very clever at getting across it's point as it uses simple methods and actual restaurants selling ice creams to get it's point across, although the concept of staff needing training to sell ice cream is a little ridiculous...... ...I, personally, prefer McDonalds to Burger King because Burger King's fries are really disgusting. The burgers are okay, I suppose, but I would not recommend their fries to anyone. They taste like raw sticks of patato. Burger King is not as popular as McDonalds - which is a good thing because that means less queues and faster food - although the quality of McDonald's food is much higher than Burger King's. I would only recommend Burger King to you if there is no other alternative close by. I would choose McDonalds instead of Burger King anyday.... Read review

...Colin McRae rally is a very good but slightly on the hard side. It is very realistic the way the cars slide. Only thing is Coiln McRae always wins if you don't. Colin McRae 2 is now out and is better but costs more. If you have the money colin2 if not get this it will keep you going. If you like racing games at least try this. It is realistic in the way of drivers as the poor drivers in life are poor in this game. The names are all spelt right unlike ISS Pro Evolution.(Very good)... Read review

...Frank McCourt's account of his early life in the poorest parts of Limerick knocks the reader's emotions from pillar to post. No sooner than you've wiped a tear of sorrow from your eye it is replaced by a tear of laughter. For a race who have little love of the English, the Irish are true masters of the language and Frank McCourt is a Grand Master. McCourt evokes the memories of his childhood so masterfully that you imagine yourself standing at his side, living the scenes with him as they unfold before your (tearful) eyes. Angela's Ashes is a truly great piece of writing that desevedly won Frank McCourt a Pulitzer Prize. The film also was quite good, but failed to capture the style of the book.... Read review

...I was walking through town today, and experienced utter shock when I walked past my local McDonalds! It had gone green!... Literally! The whole shop front had been renovated and repainted in a fowl dark green colour, while the infamous "M" remained bright yellow. It was utterly strange, people were looking at it with complete aura, in fact there were even groups of students stood outside discussing it! So whats it all in aid of? The change in colour from red to green is obviously to support and enhance McDonalds movement towards ethics. McDonalds wants to reposition itself as ethical; a purveyor of quality, healthy foods, an ethical employee etc. But is this change taking it a little too far? ...McLaren have the best car this season (2000) and have had for the past two years. They are English but sadly they do not have the Tifosi as Ferrari have got or the master tactition, Ross Brawn. However, the brilliance of McLaren does bring the drivers into question. Every other F1 car in existence (with the grooved tyres on) is inferior to the flying McLaren, so why do the drivers not finish consistently in the prized 1-2 formation? Because they do not have the ability of the misinterpreted German, Michael Schumacher. Undoubtedly one of the, if not the most talented driver of all time. If Schumacher drove for McLaren (which he never will) and was partnered by the likes of H-H-Frentzen, another great driver (and not because of his nationality) or Jarno Trulli, McLaren would dominate every season. ...This is more about not what McDonalds advertise but rather what they dont. I hope that I have now put this in the correct place. Let me explain. We have all been to a McDonalds and somewhere along the line we have all had complaints about the food, the actual restaurant etc but we dont hear anything good about McDonalds. Especially the part that they are trying to do well balanced and healthy meals now. No I am talking about what McDonald sponsers. How many of you have heard of the Ronald McDonald Suites that are in so many of our hospitals? Not many I bet. At the moment my Granddaughter is in intensive care after my daughter gave birth 10 weeks prematurely. The hospital is a 58 mile round trip so my daughter can stay in a Ronald McDonalds suite.
