For that money it was worth a try I thought.... It was extremely easy to install, very straightforward, prompts you all the way though from installing, registration, activation and set up/configuration as you would expect, generally easy to use on a daily basis - however on daily use I found some of the features to be annoying......... McAfee Internet security suite 2004 (Ver. 6.0)

Advantages: Lots of useful applications, Very protective, easy to use, quick boot
Disadvantages: drain on system resources

...accross: it even lets you limit exactly what times you want to allow your children to use the internet, very advanced!!!!!!!!!! The main downside of Mcafee ISS 6.0 is the amount of syste resources it takes but if you are lucky enough to own quite an up-to-date system with a minimum of 256mb of ram then i think it will run ok but will cause huge delays and annoyances if ran on an older compter (just look at the recommended specifications!) To round this all off, You cant have an internet connection without an internet security suite and this one has the lot and you will be able to get program updates etc . Kaspersky Internet Security - average protection

Advantages: Provides basic tools for anti virus, easy to install
Disadvantages: none really, just prefer AVG.

The laptop comes fully equipped with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and it really does the job. Most anti virus software is available for free with the opportunity to upgrade however it is worth it from a business perspective, to buy something like this. It is a very thorough programme, entailing quickclean, virus check, adware/spyware detector, firewall, site advisor, data backup and spam killer. The best features of this programme are the site advisor and data backup. When you open internet explorer and search for something, it will let you know whether the sites are secure before opening them, also if they are very 'spammy.' A very handy feature.
