Classic Ipod 80G

Advantages: Looks good, easy to use, good for value.
Disadvantages: Freezes sometimes, repetitive use can hurt hand, screen a bit small.

...I found the Ipod 80G Classic looked good and I paid £157 for it and its been a good companion. I think its easy to use and it does exactly what I wanted. I play videos and TV shows from mine and I find that very useful as it is very good quality. I also use it to put photos on and its easy to show people and when I want to look at my memories. Also I know that my photos are saved on it and recently when my computer failed I found it really useful as I knew I had them on my Ipod. I like the games on it and the fact that you can buy games to put on it. I got my first Ipod before this one but I could not live without this one. It is like my little friend. I love listening to music and I think the sound is really good quality as is the display is also very good quality. However, you can only charge it up on the computer, but if your...

Ipod Classic 80gb

Advantages: Incredible memory and looks
Disadvantages: possibly too much memory?

...This is probably my most treasured possession. With the size of the memory, you can store more pictures, music and videos than you could ever possibly need. A pro and a con there... If your not going to fill up 80gb, i wouldn't recommend buying this ipod. At the moment i have nearly 6000 songs, and 9 (approx. 1 hour length) videos stored on my ipod classic, and still have 47.3 GB space free. If you can fill it, it's incredible value for money. If you can't, it seems a little pointless. It's very easy to use, you can make playlists on the go, the games are extraordinarily fun- not something i'd normally think about, but the ipod version of solitaire has kept me amused on many a train journey. The battery life is very good, as long as you don't continuously fiddle. The alarm is good... but has failed to wake me (a deep sleeper) up...

APPLE 80GB CLASSIC

Advantages: YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIES AND COMPLETE ALBUM COLLECTION IN YOUR POCKET
Disadvantages: SOUND LEVEL ON MOVIES NOT GREAT

...I bought my Ipod Classic around a month ago to basically be able to carry all my albums round with me at all times and have a couple of my favourite movies to hand if I am ever bored. I used to have an Ipod Nano and thought that 2 GB of memory would be plenty for what I needed but soon found that I couldn't fit no way near half of my albums on there and had to cherry pick my favourite songs due to there being not enough space available. Now having 80GB it's surprising how much you can actually fit on it. I currently have around 15 movies, a season of lost and over a 100 albums and am still well under 30GB. It's unbelievable. Unless you would like to put all your movie collection on to your Ipod then I can definitely assure you that an 80GB capacity would more than cover your requirements. The Ipod has a great new feature...

Apple Ipod 80GB

Advantages: Big memory, not heavy in weight, long battery life
Disadvantages: None that I can see

...I purchased an Ipod classic and I must say that it is one of the best purchases I have made. It has a massive memory and easy to use with iTunes. Movies, TV programmes, music and photos, everything is on mine and it is so easy to add and take off things you don't require for a while. I have 80GB and I have 600 photos, 520 songs and 60 movies on it and I still have 40GB to go. Absolutely brilliant, my friend has just bought a 160GB and it is so easy to use he doesn't need my instruction to use it for the first time. With a large compacity this is certainly one for all generations and is great if you are travelling because you can take advantage of the long life battery and watch films, tv or listen to music while you travel....

Back to the 80's

Advantages: Good first impressions
Disadvantages: Graphics, Price, Simple gameplay

...Having successfully managed to find one, I was terribly excited just to take it home and get it all wired up. My first game was Baseball, and have to say became quite bored after about an hour of playing. It just didn't have that old-school effect on me as the Xbox and Playstation did. In my opinion, Nintendo were desperate for market domination once again, so designed a games console that would be a huge step further than the other market rivals. The truth being is that they concentrated too much on the simulator control, and forgot other important things such as Graphics and exciting game play. The gaming was old school, as it reminded me of those arcade games from the late 80's - 90's, with slightly better graphics. The games are very simple, either sport or action, and only required the swing of an arm to play In conclusion, Wii...

The d80 - getting old but a good camera for competitive price

Advantages: low price, uses SD cards, not as heavy as the higher end dslrs, shoots RAW, inbuilt flash
Disadvantages: noisy at high ISO's/low light conditions

...The nikon d80 is a few years old now and has been replaced by a newer model (the d90). As such it is possible to get a d80 for a very competitive price whilst still maintaining the image quality you desire and expect from a dslr. While the d80 is not a 'top of the range' dslr, and was never designed to be, it is none the less excellent at what it does - the image quality is, generally speaking, very good although in low light conditions images are a little noisier than may be desired when upping the ISO to avoid the use of flash. The d80 also provides the ability to shoot in a number of jpeg quality settings as well as NEF (nikons version of RAW) or NEF+ jpeg fine, which gives the user great versatility. The d80 comes with a built in flash - while not the most powerful of flashes it does have its uses and is something that higher end...

Nikon D80 DSLR + 18-135mm Nikkor lens

Advantages: perfect grip, large prismatic viewfinder
Disadvantages: doesn't have internal memory

... Nikon D80 My first real DSLR camera, which I have become addict to even if it requires me to learn a lot and keep challenging myself into operating it better and better ammoed with knowledge. It had been my dream to own a SLR camera, I've always had a passion for the big cameras and I was jealous of the pro photographers and the pictures they got. When I was little, my parents had an old Czech-made camera including all the stuff you need to develop the pictures yourself at home and so we were always full of photographs of me and my brother, that's where I started to love the stuff. Unfortunately the old equipment doesn't work anymore and my first camera was a simple automatic one and even if I liked to take pictures, I soon found out how expensive it was to have them developed and to buy new and new films. Now, in the age...

bravo apple team! apple ipod classic 80GB

Advantages: great quality.
Disadvantages: expensive

...WOW! The 80gb ipod classic is by far the best portable music player i've ever had! not only does it look great, you can store up to about 9000 songs on this beast! despite the fact it looks rather big and hefty, its actually quite light and you tend not to notice it in your pocket untill you dip in to find some loose change. the sound quality on it is amazing. you can get all sorts of equalizers for more bass, more treble, etc... to find the perfect sound for the song you are listening to. the only thing i would say is bad about the ipod classic is the touch pad, sometimes this can get stuck or it wont sense your fingers, so it can get abit annoying trying to scan your whole archive of music when youre struggling to get from the a's to z's! The headphones! if you really want to get the best out of your ipod classic then change...

Around the World in 80 Days

Advantages: Some funny moments, its entertaining, range of actors used (both English & American)
Disadvantages: Slightly slow in parts, a bit cheesy/predictable

...... but anyway, back to this movie... For anyone who isn't aware of the plot of 'Around the World in 80 Days', well really the clue is in the title! it basically tells the story of a somewhat eccentric Victorian English inventor called Phileas Fogg (played by Steve Coogan), who ends up making a bet with the head of the Royal Academy of Science, that he is able to basically circumnavigate the globe in no more than 80 days. If he manages this, then the head has to resign and he gets his position but if he doesn't manage it, then he has to leave the academy and never invent again. So, of course, he's very determined to prove that he can do it and he sets out on this long adventure to see the world. He doesn't travel alone however, having somewhat accidentally found his new 'valet' Passepartout (which isn't his name but is what he blurts out...
