Advantages: hopefully i have given some lifesaving advice
Disadvantages: it is still quite harm for me to write about my experience in detail as i am still shaken up by it

.... - Make sure people are aware of your allergy, by letting your family and friends know it may well save your life if you were administered the medication again during an accident. - Most importantly ? if you are in any doubt about the effects of a medication ? always consult your doctor or the hospital as soon as possible. ...Us Medical Secretaries get a rough deal. Not only do we have to deal with abusive patients but also grumpy doctors. Both are hard to deal with, but having had special training in situations like these, I am able to deal with both. Patients need honesty and doctors need coffee!! Ok so I have been working in the medical sector for 5 years now (started when I was 17), and up until recently I have loved every minute. I worked in Reception of my local NHS governed medical centre (and still occasionally do) all the hour's god sends and I have came across all sorts of people. So Medics Like To Party??

Advantages: Loads of social events, meeting new people, alcohol consumption, helps you with Medicine
Disadvantages: Sometimes called "Cliquey" even amoung medics, lots of alcohol consumption, dwindling members

The work is not at all valued, which is shown in the number of hours that people work alonsgide the low rate of pay that is offered. Many care homes regardless of whether they are privately owned or are a part of a bigger company, will generally pay the national minimum wage or just slightly higher for health care assistants - a pittance for what they do, which I don't like one bit. However, council run establishments may pay more because after all what else can they do with our money. As noted, another downfall is that of having to do shift work. Caring for the Elderly

Advantages: A really rewarding job
Disadvantages: when the residents die it`s heartbreaking

...shifts by doing activities with the residents, then at nights the night staff would serve tea/coffee and biscuits, and put the residents to bed. Staff on duty There was always a staff nurse on duty during the day, to make sure everything would run smoothly and to administer medications needed, most of the Nurses also done there fair share of work during the day. So with a staff nurse and three care assistants on, looking after 18 residents was`nt to hard.
