...Mega blocks. I have some at work, now I have some at home I went into my local charity shop and bought a boat with added bricks for my grandson. Mega blocks are a large plastic brick (lego style ) they are brightly coloured attractive bricks fairly easy for a child to fit together. This boat with bricks cost me 75p I think it cost about £10 in the shops a little cheaper than lego. These bricks encourage hand eye co-ordination and fire imagination, encorage creativity. These bricks are suitable for ages between 1yr and 5/6 yrs. These bricks are available in sets of standard bricks or in sets like trucks or the boat I bought. The bricks are in my opinion not as good as lego the plastic a little softer. I do not think they will be as durable as lego, but saying that the bricks I have at work are quite old and have been played...

Mega Fun!

Advantages: Lots of fun,
Disadvantages: untidy!

...For my sons first Christmas, we seemed to be inundated with Mega Bloks! There must have been a special offer somewhere I think. He was only three months old so they sat in a corner for a wee while!! He received a huge 100 block bag, with zip pull, a lorry, with a tipper on the back, full of blocks, castle box, which is in the shape of a castle and contains more blocks. The bag is still intact, still full of bricks. When they are all out together, boy, what a mess! I have luckily been blessed with a tidy child who actually helps tidy up! Mega Bloks are a modern day version of Duplo, a bit more curvy and a bit bigger. The range was quite small to begin with, but over time it has expanded to quite a huge selection. Sega Mega CD? Sega Mega Crap!

Advantages: Grandfather of CD consoles
Disadvantages: The Sega Saturn should have been the grandfather

Man, with all those cool features, you know that this is already a massive pile of total garbage. I love how they shamelessly marketed this device?s full motion video capabilities, as opposed to what? Video that isn?t full motion? And with just 512 simultaneous colours onscreen, you can imagine how disgustingly grainy the video playback was. Also, the video wasn?t that smooth and only took up a 1/3 ? 2/3 of the screen, rather than take up the entire screen for full screen video action. That just struck me as just odd because who wants to watch video on their TV?s at a fraction of what the TV could display? Well guess what, the Mega CD?s processor was not suited for video and the limited 512 colours didn?t display videos...

Advantages: Plenty of gore
Disadvantages: Similar fighting styles and end boss too easy to defeat

Theme Park - Mega Drive

Advantages: Create your own theme park man!!
Disadvantages: Can be a little hard at times and a little repititive

...boring. Also as with most sims, this was a one player only so your pals couldnt get involved, graphic however were good for its time. Bright and colourful But its a really good game and although i dont have my mega drive anymore, its available on most formats and a newer, updated version too where you can actually go on the rides to test them out! Theme Hospital is also worth a look if you like this which was the sequel and another fun management construction sim. Enjoy and live the dream!...

Not so much mega any more.

Advantages: Took me back to my childhood. Made me appreciate the Xbox 360 more.
Disadvantages: Poor graphics and sound, far too dated.

Mega Bloks = Mega Fun

Advantages: easy to hold, huge range, cheap
Disadvantages: hurt if you stand on them, end up everywhere

...This is a great toy which will help your childs development imensely. It helps will hand-eye coordination (when placing the blocks on top of one another) and is good for the imagination (hmm what can i build today?!), and your child will have huge amounts of fun knocking down whatever it is that you have decided to build! Review of Mega Bloks

Don't hang onto this

Advantages: Great music, colourful 16 bit graphics, and follows nearly the entire movie scene by scene
Disadvantages: Poor sound effects, awful continue system, stock enemies and a plain bad game

...originally thought the game was crashing until I realised Gabe was having a punch-up with nearby enemies. Recommendations Pure advice, just stay away from this one at all times. Don't waste minutes of your life giving it a go, it?s just not worth it, hence why I am reviewing this as a warning. A rushed game with a copied fighting engine, shoved onto the market to match with the film's release at the cinema to cash in on the franchise. If you really want to play it, a Sega Mega Drive emulator would probably be the only way. Old school retro game which could possibly be picked up on places like E-Bay. Really glad that I never played this game when I was a kid, probably would have been even more disappointed as I am now. It's sadly how it goes with games based on movies and movies based on video games, they usually don't work out....

Advantages: Versatile toy - vehicle & bloks
Disadvantages: Not enough bloks

...bricks. This has the words Mega Bloks written on each one. The bottoms of the bricks are cubes. These particular Mega Bloks are the maxi bloks and so they are a much larger size than lego making them a more suitable choice for younger children. Although Mega Bloks normally come in singles, doubles, threes, fours (either squares or in a straight line) and eights (two lines of four) this is not the case with this set. As the container is only small the majority of them are singles and doubles. The Bloks are different colours, but I can't tell you the exact mix as all our Bloks have got muddled up! I do know there were grey and black bricks in this set mixed with more colourful ones. The bricks are easily wiped clean and will need to be as they get chewed a lot! They do seem to be durable as we have no damaged bricks so far and my son does...
