Travelling compactly

Advantages: Folds up compactly, bright colours, use as a cot or play pen

Memorex, oh yes

Advantages: Reliable
Disadvantages: I could have brought them cheaper elsewhere

...I was looking for some CDR's to back up my hard drive now its full of important work. I went down to my local computer shop where they stocked a variety of brands. Chocie is important but not when your in a hurry so I decided to pick a brand I was familar with. I have heard of Memorex before and have purchase VHS' from them before and they worked fine. Going on previous expirences of memorex products I thought they would be O.K. I brought the pack of CDR's for £19.99 for a pack of 25 which I thought was quite reasonable until I was told about online stores doing them for cheaper. The CDR's come on a spindel which is useful to keep the dust off them. Each CDR can hold 700mbs of data and 80 minutes of music. Excellent travel system

Advantages: Folding down, multifunctional
Disadvantages: Slightly heavy

...Being a first time Mum, I searched around all the high street shops for a functional and attractive travel system. Out of all the prams this one had the easiest folding down system, even tho it was slightly on the heavy side I could fold it down with 1 hand! The carry cot was great for the first 4 months fitting in to the pram snuggly as the seat folded flat (which I found alot of other prams didn't do) The car seat had a base that made it so easy to take the baby in and out of the car (no messing around with seat belts every time!) It is also very well padded, however it didnt come with cushioned protectors on the straps. When we were taking baby home for the first time, the midwife told us it needed them which were only £5 extra to buy. A bulky travel system

Advantages: Big Shopping basket, Suitable until baby wants to walk, Great for Ramming people out of the way (joke)

Travel light, get a travel cot

Advantages: Has many uses,easy to store
Disadvantages: Can be a little heavy,if carrying a distance, weighing in at 43lbs.

...I have this Playpen/travel cot and unlike the old wooden ones which dont collapse down this one does. I brought it while my first daughter was 6 mths as I was going down to Hastings to see family and she had grown out of her moses basket.I kept it downstairs and set it up in the corner so she could play in it while I was doing dinner so I knew she was safe.I know some veiws about playpens are that they are bad and restrict freedom but I feel that if used properly then they are a god send.I dont agree with people who stick their child in a playpen 24/7 with no interaction- that is defeantly out of order. A baby needs to be on the floor sometimes to find out how to roll and move about-sense of space in comparision to their body.Reaching out of toys just out of their reach and moving, all aids and speeds up the will to get somewhere...
