...I first read Ballet Shoes when I was eight. It was the first of Noel Streatfield's books I'd read, and it remains my favourite. I put it away during my teenage years and forgot about it until Christmas 2007 when I watched the BBC adaptation with Emma Watson. I went to Indonesia and got the film on knock-off DVD, and immediately after watching I rang home to get my parents to order me a copy. It was a great welcome home. The book opens with 'Garnie' moving into a huge mansion, filled with fossils. She and her nurse (Nana) are moving in with her uncle. You don't really get any of their story until one day her uncle Matthew arrives home from a trip with a package, containing of all things... a baby! They agree to take the baby and name her Pauline. Scone Shoes

Advantages: comfortable, better fitting shoes at reasonable prices
Disadvantages: limited range, most of them are quite ugly

When I first ordered shoes from the Shoe Tailor, experts in wider-fitting shoes, I measured my feet incorrectly and found that the only shoes in their catalogue that would fit me were their widest, ugliest, most orthopaedic, brown, granny shoes: the type you might wear to go out with your friends for a scone, in your later years. Hence my friends groaningly called them my ?scone shoes? and walked several yards behind me on the way to the pub every night. They were very comfy! ...was managing to hobble around a lot faster in them. Now, the downside with these shoes is that they don?t seem to be sold in shoe shops but rather in little independent stores or stalls. The place I got mine was a small partitioned stand within the local shopping centre run by a middle aged woman who was possibly on day release and definitely drunk. Immediately she told me try on a pair of size 8?s. I did and felt like I was wearing clown shoes. The fact that they were bright orange did not help any. I told her they felt too big and there commenced a lot of her pulling up my trouser leg to see where my heel was, poking my toes and squeezing her hands inside the shoes (whilst my feet were in them). Advantages: Enjoyable action, decent violence, gore and Arnie one-liners.
Disadvantages: Missing the intelligence of the source novel making it fairly one-dimesional.

Kleenex for men

Advantages: A strong and large tissue
Disadvantages: A bit dearer than most

...absorbent. The tissues fit easily into any pocket or handbag and I often keep a few in my bag as they come in so handy. The tissues are fully recyclable and above all they are exceptionally strong. There is nothing worse than finding out your tissue isn't man enough for the job. Of course if you are out and about the tissues become multi functional, a face wipe, an emergency napkin, a mop up for a child's grazed knee! you name it they will do the job. I appreciate that 100 sheets costs about £2.15, so they do tend to cost far more than some other brands, but one tissue will last the day out, no constant running back and forth to the tissue box....

I used this fragrance off and on and found it to have quite strong, masculine smell. Euphoria for Men was released in 2006. Like most mens fragrances this has quite a musky smell to it but is also quite spicy and strong.
