...I had heard about crème de la mer in the press & looked at the price & thought how ridiculously overpriced. Even though I was intrigued I thought there's no way I can justify spending that much.
However things were about to change - fast forward to 3 years later & I have had the worst skin problems with spots & scarring - they seemed never ending & I was beginning to get fed up of always having horrible skin.

Advantages: leaves skin moisturized for long Disadvantages: overpriced, overrated,no SPF
...between fingertips before tapping it on the face,but my fingers absorbed most of the cream!Does it mean I will have wrinkle-free finger tips??
The Creme de la Mer, ladies and gentlemen, DOES NOT contain a SPF, which means that, although I spent a fortune for this cream, I have to spend even more for another cream with SPF (and would I apply it before or after the Creme de la Mer?).This is not acceptable, everyone knows about the risks of skin cancer and if I pay a fortune for a face cream then it has to be perfect.
That was the bad news.The good news, however, is that excellent creams DO exist. Instead of wasting money on a product that is mainly famous because VIP use it ( sure...Victoria Beckham looks like that because she uses Creme de la Mer, not because she has Botox injections, and Restylane fillings...) you'd better off investing...

I have heard people "wax" lyrical about Mer but never used it. Glad I gave it a try now. The polish is suitable for all paint finishes, including metallic, you can also use it on your caravan, bike, upvc windows or anywhere else you need a good shine.
The polish comes in a plastic container, coloured blue, in the following sizes, half litre, one litre, three litres, and the massive trade size of ten litres. Recommended retail prices range from £11 for the smallest, sixteen Pounds and thirty-one for the 1 & 3 litres, then up to a whopping £71 for the large. These prices are expensive, but the polish is very good, and does tend to go a long way...

Advantages: None I can think of. Disadvantages: An expensive car polish that doesn't do an effective job.
...I first came across MER car polish donkey's years back when I used to do the rounds of various exhibitions while still earning my crust as a salesman. I'm sure that many of you who have ever attended an "ideal home exhibition" or the Motor Show have seen the product being demonstrated. In fact for many years I believe this was the *ONLY* way the product was marketed. The demonstrators/salespeople used to purchase a franchise, and then do the rounds of the various shows/shopping malls, etc selling it to the public at a vastly inflated mark up!
Of course, as I got to know the salespeople I used to obtain the polish for next nothing. In fact, there's a half full gallon container of it lying out in my garden shed gathering dust right now.
What's that I hear you asking? Why is it out in the garden shed gathering dust if it's as good as...

This is probably the most well known product by Mer which you are likely to have seen being trumpeted at exhibitions, on TV or at local markets. There always seems to be a an old red mini bonnet which is set afire, then goes hideously black. The miracle of Mer 'effortlessly ' it seems quickly restores it gleaming red and shedding water like little pearly beads. Not quite the reality I have experienced over extended periods.
Yes, it is a good product which we have used for years both on the boat (the Mer connection) and on various cars. When surfaces are new and non-porous it does wipe on easily then wipe off to that lustrous shine as promised. It does still need a bit of rubbing though, to get the last bits of powdery residue away, so not quite so effortless here. Also beware getting...
