I live in Europe where attitudes to Mercedes products are less reverential and have had a manual transmission E220 CDi since Oct.2003 (which I'd like to sell). This model with 150 bhp/340nm. has effectively been superceded since July 2006 by a revised model with 170bhp and approx 400nm...
Advantages: SMOOTH RIDE, HANDLES WELL , PRESTIGE BADGE Disadvantages: NIGGLES CAN BE EXPENSIVE ,BUY THE FACELIFT MODEL
.... This marque has always had an air of class about it although every other Taxi is fast becoming a Mercedes diesel.!!
The car never surprised me on speed off the mark but from 70 onward it did seem too fly with ease.Once I had started the engine from cold and woke the street up with the "clack-clack" it did please me ,as when warmed up and at normal Motorway speeds it went along qiutely...

Review of Mercedes C 220CDI
Advantages: Fantastic to drive, brilliantly made, comes with lots of toys. Available in lots of shapes & sizes Disadvantages: Stop/start facility can be a bit iffy, similar VW Crafter seems the more wallet friendly option.
