Orange SPV E200 - Smartphone or Costly Mistake?
Advantages: Digital camera/Video Camera, Windows Smartphone 2003 operating system, Bluetooth
Disadvantages: Very poor battery life, have to buy SD/MMC card
...I bought my SPV E200 at the start of February 2004 from the Orange Website for £50 (My contract is a basic £25 a month) but is now free with the same contract just over a month later.
LOOKS
The phone itself is qwuite large and bulky but the way I see it, is that it is packed with features. It weighs in at 120g but to its credit has a fantastic 16-bit TFT showing 65,536 colours. This is by far the best screen that I have seen on a phone (better than the Nokia 6600 - which I also have)
Operating System
The phone runs on the Windows Smartphone 2003 operating System, which boasts some fantastic features. Being used to the simplicity of the Nokia 6610 and 6600, this was much more complicated to use. However, being able to run Internet Explorer and MSN Messenger is a fantastic bonus. Also among its array of stunts is playing MP3s...

Under Powered? Under Rated!
Advantages: Performance, Comfort, Price
Disadvantages: Rear Parking - you need park sensors!
...The new E200 (W211 model) is superb value for money. Starting at £26,000 it is in a far higher class than most cars for the same money. I was sceptical about purchasing one because the performance figures suggest it is a bit of a slouch but in reality, coupled with the manual 6 speed gearbox, performance is lively and more than you might expect. Handling is also superb, particularly with the optional £300 sports suspension which often makes you think you are driving a smaller sporty car. Motorway cruising is a dream making those long journeys effortless. A cavernous boot with optional split fold rear seats means that those with previous experience of Hatchbacks won?t miss them. Overall this is one classy car, when stopped at lights, the loudest noise is the heater and you struggle to hear that!...

Beautiful Mercedes
Advantages: Fuel Economy
Disadvantages: Interior
...the BMW 320d and the Audi A4 1.8 tdi cant offer!
The internal styling of the C-class is unfortunately not as exceptional as its fuel economy. The boring fake wood and neverending dark leather and plastic does not harmonise with the beautifully curved exterior body, and many friends have commented on how dissapointinly unluxurious the interior is. I do believe this is mercedes' downfall when comparing it with Audi and BMW!
The C220 cdi will set you back about £20000 on the road if you bought a new one today. However a second hand 2000 model would cost about £13000 with about 30000miles. This shows the excellent depreciation value that mercedes' have, and when your spending £20000 on a car its all important. Another aspect when considering price is the spare parts cost. Unfortunately spare mercedes parts are not cheap and the expertise...

My Car - Mercedes E280 T Estate
Advantages: Smooth Drive, Service Warranty excellent, Comfortable and the engineering is top notch
Disadvantages: Interior a bit plain
...a Mercedes second hand and have run it into the ground over the past three years, without any problems at all. I then managed to get hold of the Mercedes E280 T Estate and it is a fantastic car. The German manufacturing process is unrivalled. The fuel consumption is roughly 40 MPG. The ride is smooth and the car is spacious enough to get a double bed in, which I have done. It is also great for dogs in the back which we have 2, and they are contented to just sit and look out of the windows whilst travelling with space to move around. The vision is great all around and the car is powerful to get you away from the lights without being left behind in a cloud of smoke. It is even good off road, however this would not be reccommended as it does not cope well with thick mud.
It is a comfortable ride and you feel refreshed when you arrive at your...

MERCEDES C220 CDI HAS FLARE AND COMES ABOVE AVERAGE
Advantages: SMOOTH RIDE, HANDLES WELL , PRESTIGE BADGE
Disadvantages: NIGGLES CAN BE EXPENSIVE ,BUY THE FACELIFT MODEL
...When I purchased the Merc back in late summer I did a 200 mile round trip as the spec I was looking for at the right price could not be found in my town.I stumbled upon an Avantgarde 2001 y plate model with full stamped history at 80,000 miles on the clock and with the blue paintwork it was exactly what I was looking for at £4,800. It was cheaper than most of the first newer shape C-classes by about a grand so well worth the travel out up to Liverpool from a guy with a debt problem......hope hes got things sorted !!
Anyway, I had owned two A-CLASS Mercs and new what too expect from the larger C- class. The overall stance of the car always looked good with that Mercees badge popping up on the bonnet and I knew my nieghbours had a peek out of the curtains when I first parked it on the drive. This marque has always had an air of class...

Mercedes 320 SLK
Advantages: Lots of admiring glances
Disadvantages: People don't let you out of junctions !
...I bought a 320 SLK after many trips to the local Mercedes garage and after test driving a few CLKs and the new Coupe. The SLK was the only one I got out of with a smile on my face, and it was a big one! So rather than buy one big CLK to load up with miles I bought a 1.2 Corsa for running around and an SLK for nice days.
Performance is enough to get you into trouble in the wet but the traction control always kicks in before you realise you've even had a problem. The flashing light on the dash tells you you almost did! The sound from the engine is fantastic - especially with the roof down - it's like being in a computer game.
Handling isn't quite what I'd expected. I'd had a couple of BMW coupes before and the SLK feels a bit bouncy compared to them - comfy rather than taught. The brakes are fantastic though (they sense...

Our A Class Mercedes .....
Advantages: Very Economical, Small, Nippy, Compact, Easy To Park !!
Disadvantages: Several Blind Spots Throughout The Car !!
...We have a A 160 Mercedes, its main use is driving me up and down the motorway to the oncology centre at Bristol and numerous other hospitals scattered about... so it was important when we bought the car that it was reliable, economical and easy to park. Since having our baby 'Merc' we havent had a days problem ( a hum - fingers crossed now !! ) it is just due for its first MOT ( Y reg ) . It handles very well and corners well, sticks to the road like glue when you put your foot down !! the fuel economy is excellent and this is important, it is very easy to park although there are several blind spots in the car when it comes to reverse parking - there are three headrests that line across the tops of the back seats which can make it difficult - obscures your vision somewhat when it comes to the reverse park. Our car is the shorter...

The Longshaw Estate, Derbyshire
Advantages: Peaceful, tranquil, Free
Disadvantages: Steep Paths that get messy during bad weather
...The Peak District National Park is in my opinion one of the most picturesque places in the whole of England. Ok, I may be a little bit bias since it happens to be on my doorstep but there are so many different places to visit that you could go there every weekend of your life and never go to the same place twice.
The Longshaw Estate is the sort of place that is perfect for the Peak District novice since it is very easily accesible yet it has all of the same beautiful scenery on offer as the more remote parts of the Park.
Longshaw Lodge, built in 1827 is the central focal point of the vast Longshaw Estate that originally covered an area of 11,533 acres of land in the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire.
It is located just ten miles to the South West of Sheffield and lies very close to the South Yorkshire border...

Mercedes A160 - All things, for all men
Advantages: Interior Space, Visibility, Excellent engine & transmission
Disadvantages: Looks a bit like Camilla Parker-Bowles, head on.
...Daihatsu Grand Move. In fact, I remember when I first saw the A-Class. I don't think there had been any car like this before, at least not with a premium badge on the front. Mercedes Benz must be congratulated for having the male genitalia to design, and more importantly, develop a car for a niche that had not yet been carved from a market of euro-boxes and small hatchbacks. People know this is a Mercedes Benz, and they certainly know the price premium that the badge requests. What people don't know, however, is that a used A-Class can be picked up for little more than Renault Scenic money.
Interior
You don't so much get in an A-Class, as step up into the very inviting interior. Those doors might look like they reach the floor of the car, but there's a good eight inches of extra height between the floor of the car and the floor...

Mercedes S Class - The worlds best luxury car - FACT!
Advantages: Fully loaded luxury motor leaving passengers and drivers wanting for nothing.
Disadvantages: Can be expensive if it goes wrong if you can't find the best repairshop. Initial outlay cost.
...Most readers will probably look at this review and overlook it; the common misconception is that the flagship Mercedes-Benz S Class is a luxury that many cannot afford. WRONG ? You can pick them up for as little as £5000, considering they retail for over £60k at new, this is fantastic. But why should you choose the S over any other car? It is a Mercedes and the best of the lot!!!
The S class has been around for many years and is currently on the W221 range, which came out in 2006. The review I will be writing is about the W220, in my eyes the nicer of the two. What you will come to appreciate is that the S class is the benchmark of the motoring world. What comes as standard on the S class today will be standard on a Mondeo in ten years time.
The S280 cost £52,000 when new, my model with the extras it has came in at over £65,000. Today...
