Father Christmas, whether people like to admit it or not, is an integral part of the holidays; he may cause controversy for those who think that the true meaning of Christmas has strayed far, far away from the birth of Jesus but for many, the mere mention of Santa Claus brings back fond memories from their childhood. It's difficult to escape the fat guy in red that clambers down your chimney every Christmas Eve as he is everywhere leading up to the day itself. Ok, perhaps only in picture form, with his face plastered across countless posters and various decorations. But, being such a big part of Christmas to many people, it makes sense for there to be countless movies involving the man himself, whether he is a central character or someone who randomly pops up on screen...

Merry expensive christmas

Advantages: A time for everyone
Disadvantages: Not as good as it use to be

...If anyone ever wants to know how people get in to so much debt, then i think we can all agree that Christmas is definatly one of the causes. Its a strange time of year, all the shops are full of christmas goodies, the streets are decorated by the local council and we are all fooled by the promises of what joys it will all bring us if we part with our money for some items that are available all year around, but we only seem to buy at christmas. Then ofcourse there is the problem of what we buy each person and how much we are willing to spend on them. On our children we look to give them better than we had! Were our christmas presents that bad? I mean i can understand "Tiny Tim" having that sort of problem, and what do our children then buy their children to better their Christmas, and so on and on......... I personaly find it...

Ho Ho Ho Merry Madagascar

Advantages: Short Christmas Themed Film
Disadvantages: Not very funny

...So Christmas is now here and along with it come out loads of mini spin off films from the big blockbusters. DreamWorks have just brought out the latest in a line of Madagascar films called Merry Madagascar and as normal, it follows Marty and Gang in their quest to try to make it back to New York in time for Christmas. Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria are attempting to escape from the Island of Madagascar to their home of New York in a hot air balloon when their balloon is attacked by King Julian and the rest of the Lemurs with fire arrows and crashes back down onto the island. When Alex and the gang question King Julian he tells that it is the 24th Julianary and the Marauding Red Goblin always flies over the island and throws rocks down on them so this year it is their aim to knock the Marauding Red Goblin out of the sky...

...years I have began to read them, and have built myself a large collection of them. One of the titles in the collection is 'Christmas Crisis'. The cover of any book has to be attractive, as it is the first thing you will see and often make an impression on. Thankfully the cover of this book is definitely a delight. It has a top colour of red, with the Sabrina logo written in green - very Christmas-y colours indeed! Underneath there is a picture of the main characters: Sabrina (Melissa Joan Hart), Morgan (Elisa Donovan) and Roxie (Soleil Moon Frye). I think it is quite good that they have kept the actors the same for the cover as it helps fans of the show relate to the books more. Of course, the plot is the most exciting part of any story. In this book, Sabrina gets a job in the shopping centre as an elf, and to keep the impatient children...
