...~~ Metropolitan ~~ The other evening I had the good fortune to be offered a free meal at the Metropolitan in Stourbridge. They were hosting a Psychic Supper event, which comprised of a two course meal and a reading with one or more of the mediums present, this was all for £18.00 per person. Sadly I didn't get to have a reading as I was one of the mediums working for my supper. But everyone that goes gets at least one message. ~~ The Bar ~~ The bar area is very modern with wooden parquet flooring, aluminium chairs with wooden seats and a matching design with the tables, there are comfy leather sofa's and leather cube seats dotted around the perimeter. A 5 Star Hotel for a 5 Star Anniversary

Advantages: Unbelievably luxurious
Disadvantages: Probably won't be able to tolerate a 2 star hotel again

Onto a winner.

Advantages: Mouth watering food.
Disadvantages: London prices on drinks.

...The Metropolitan is situated on Lapwing Lane, West Didsbury, Manchester. West Didsbury is a beautiful leafy suburb just south of the city centre, full of trendy student types and rich as you like business folk. Didsbury has its fair share of pub, bars and restaurant but the Metropolitan stands out for me. It used to be called the Didsbury and I still confuse people now by saying "I'll meet you at the Didsbury" and they've never even heard of it! Since changing its name and owner it hasn't gone downwards in class, more like upwards. As you drive into the car park, which is large enough for at least 40 cars, you can tell straight away that this is not full of old men drinking ale. A rare find - a quiet hotel in New Delhi

Advantages: Calm professional staff, quiet setting
Disadvantages: If you can't get it at a bargain rate, it's not worth the price.

...Ciao must despair of some of us members and the near-geological timescale we seem to work on. I requested this hotel over three years ago and have finally got around to writing about it. Proof at last that if I'm given long enough I'll eventually get round to almost anything. When and Why? We visited Delhi at the beginning and end of a tour to Ladakh, high up in the Himalaya range. Ladakh is at such high altitude that you really can only sensibly go in the summer months and since there's no option other than to go through Delhi to get there, that's an absolutely dreadful time to be in the city in terms of the heat, but a fantastic time to get a bargain on a hotel deal. When we first arrived and were told that this was a Cathedral we didn't quite know what to say. I thought it was such an ugly looking building, resembling n electricity cooling tower rather than a Cathedral. Rooms are expensive, this is certainly not a cheap getaway stop. However, if someone else is paying it is great. Rooms are large and comfortable and have a CD player and video. Room service will deliver the CDs and tapes of your choice from a huge selection. If possible get a room facing the park. The view is spectacular. ...Metros as Club Metropolitan is known as has always been a favourite with Cardiff club goers.However, at the moment you are likely to feel too old there if you are 18 or above as this club is frequented by young teenagers who enjoy Nine Inch Nails, Korn, and Slipknot to name a few.On the weekends some older people go there but it's a place for the very young or very young at heart. Inside there is nothing special and when you arrive you are lucky if you can see anyhting at all as the club seems dark and dingy with basic seating and is always very cold. The dancing area however is quite large although a strange shape as the club is situated underneath shops. I may be past it now at 20, and i know that Metros holds good memories from peoples childhood years, but you'd be better off leaving this club for the kids!and going to Evolution...
