...~~ Metropolitan ~~ The other evening I had the good fortune to be offered a free meal at the Metropolitan in Stourbridge. They were hosting a Psychic Supper event, which comprised of a two course meal and a reading with one or more of the mediums present, this was all for £18.00 per person. Sadly I didn't get to have a reading as I was one of the mediums working for my supper. But everyone that goes gets at least one message. ~~ The Bar ~~ The bar area is very modern with wooden parquet flooring, aluminium chairs with wooden seats and a matching design with the tables, there are comfy leather sofa's and leather cube seats dotted around the perimeter. As with the other pedals this one has a solid plastic moulding with a slightly awkward to open battery compartment, accessed by pushing in the pedal hinge pins and lifting it off. Much better to use an external power supply, it saves money and broken fingernails. So what does a Chorus pedal do? Well it sits in the line between the guitar and amplifier and alters the signal. Basically it is a modulating effect which adds a slight highlight and a lowlight, to create a softened, even slightly ethereal tone to the sound. Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. The theatre itself is horseshoe shaped , fully air conditioned and has 2156 seats - but don't worry, there are lots of very helpful staff around to help you find yours! There are 4 levels - Stalls, Grand Tier, Balcony and Amphitheatre. Seats are pretty comfy with a generous amount of leg room - having been to some theatres where you're knees can be crammed into the seat in front! There are surtitles for operas not in English so that you can follow what's going on and if you're seating in a position where you're not able to see the surtitles then you will have a little screen in front of your seat displaying them there - a lovely touch. Living in London is great for this - we are spoilt with 2 international level opera houses, as well as numerous touring companies and high standard amateur productions. Elysees Opera/America Opera Hotel - Paris, France.

I would also like to state that on Ciao, this hotel is listed as a 1 star hotel, whereas in fact the Elysees Opera is a 3 star hotel. The hotel is named America Opera and Elysees Opera, i stayed in the Elysees Opera. I'm not sure as to why there are 2 names? Location The road of Rue de Turin was very easy to find. We got the Metro to the nearest stop, Rome, and we were provided with a small map illustrating the location. So we found the road and walked down it, only passing one hotel on the way down. A BAD Night At The Opera

A male nurse enters the room and flicks today's paper across to Boris, and there is a front-page article about a Madame Lilli Rochelle, whom Boris recognises.
