Marshall MG30dfx - Start here

Advantages: Good for beginners, cheap, good starter amp.
Disadvantages: You will find yourself wanting more after having it for awhile.

...past about 2 (at home) so 30 watts is more than enough for all non-band situations. The FDD switch doesn't really do much, although I leave mine on since it does seem to make the amp sound slightly better, although it's hard to describe how: it just does. I have never used the CD-Input or Line-Out. Overall, I would recommend that a beginner buys this. It's relatively cheap and will easily last you a good year, possibly more, before you start wanting more. Comes with a three year warranty as well. If you have been playing any longer I'd say spend a little more money and get a better amp, perhaps a valve amp. MG ZS 120 bags of fun!

Advantages: Handling, MPG, handling, looks, handling, drive and handling!

...okay here goes, bought my MG ZR 105 3 door brand new, and within 3 months this is what happened, tappets started banging, the inside door frames kept coming away from the doors, the gearstick handle came off, the cloth part of the fronts seats started wearing away, the front seat tilt mechanisim snapped on the passenger side, the left hand horn button was sunk into the steering wheel, and the steering wheel wasn\'t even aligned properly, had to hold the wheel 1 inch to the right in order to drive straight. After a 1 year service by the very garage I bought it from, it started backfiring and took another 2 visits to fix, and the door trim problem again, and tappet problem again and the exhaust went at the coupling between the 2 back sections, 4 years on the car is falling apart, it is as though it was designed with the throw...

Jim strikes again, but smaller, and better

...THE STORY-- It was when no sound came to my ears, that I decided perhaps now was the best time to get a new amp. I had used a 10" by 10" 10w BOOM BLASTER for over a year and it never ceased to depress me so I set out looking for one. A cheap, practical, loud but quiet practise amp was my criteria. So I opened up Mozilla Firefox, went on various reliable sites like, GAK.com, about.com, guitarguitar.com and I talked to some reliable friends. They recommended the Marshall MG series, the only Solid-State Amps made by Marshall (except AVT hybrids). These huge-ass practice amps are made for the guitarist on the verge of the intermediate standard but not quite as confident as he/she wants. MG ZT - Top Car Not Top Price

Advantages: Loads of Car for Very Little Money - Handles Like a Dream

Advantages: Cheap insurance, Cheap running costs
Disadvantages: Poor Build Quality

...to 19k for a ZT-T. Diesel or Petrol its entirely a preference of the consumer. My personal favorite is the ZR Diesel Turbo - which insidentaly gave BMW 1 series Diesel a view of its pipes and boot as it shaved 1.2 seconds from the 1 series equivelent diesel. Great fun, good looking, cheap running cost and since the demise of MG Rover Group... low priced low milage examples are readily available. Build quality is a let down. You dont get Germany build quality or Japanese reliability from MG but as my nan says, 'you get what ya pay for' Go on.... give it a try, you never know... you may love the Octagonal badged 'British' beauty....

Advantages: superb
Disadvantages: tyres cost a fortune

...I have never had a car that has attracted so much attention. It is a real stunner as far as looks go. Our local doctor was pretty upset that his new Mercedes was virtually ignored by the locals whereas my MG attracted quite a crowd. The interior is a refreshing change from the doom and gloom of the Germans and just oozes class and style. Seats hold you very snugly - which is just as well as I just love throwing it around corners - and yet are remarkably comfortable on long journeys. bought this car after having owned two 3 Series as I wanted something a bit different and I have not been disappointed. The ZT must be the best car I have ever owned. It is smooth, stylish, comfortable and distinctive. It manages to corner very flat yet still gives an acceptable ride.
