...Dunkin' Duncan is a little book in the ever popular Thomas the Tank Engine series. The book has been based on the TV series. The cover of the book has a yellow banner at the top with the title in red letters and below is a picture of Duncan. The back of the book has a yellow border with a blue inside which has a selection of smaller pictures showing other titles available in this collection. THE STORY The book begins by telling us how Duncan is working on the Incline railway with Rusty, Rheneas and Skarloey, they liked how the loaded trucks rolled down the incline and pulled the empty truck up. Duncan didn't enjoy working here as he liked to do things in a hurry which made him careless and got him into lots of trouble. In my opinion it should be the first book on the bookshelf of a medical student and is likely to be kept by the student for many years. I bought this book in my first year of medical school, and at first found it difficult to read. Even to the point that it became more useful as a doorstop or a tool of exercise than as a tool of education. SHOPABILITY There's a range of shoes in Clarks, adult shoes, trainers, school shoes and shoes for babies and toddlers. You could clearly see all the shoes being displayed, but I found everything tightly packed and there were very few different types of shoes in each selection. (e.g. one or two "Bootleg" and one or two "YoToy" under trainers) WAS I BEING SERVED? ...Anyone Can Do It serves as a good interesting insight into Duncan Bannatyne's rags to riches story and gives a fair degree of inspiration to anyone struggling to find their own pot of gold. Just like Duncan Bannatyne himself its a straight talking narrative that does exactly what it says on the front cover. The book gives an account of how Bannatyne fought tooth and nail to overcome unemployment and a navy court martial to turn one ice cream van into a multi million pound organisation including a chain of health clubs, nursing homes and an impressive list of other companies to boot. Bannatyne's account gives a great insight into his early life in Scotland and the variety of trial and error style escapades in his businesses. ...I went to Arnold Clark to buy my first car and was very pleased with the service i recieved from the sales staff, i spoke to 4 different people and all were helpfull and friendly. I signed up for a used 55 reg Ford Focus, which i recieved a great deal including 6% finance including 12 months warrenty, 6months MOT and 12 months autocare mechanical warrenty (which i later found out i was paying for and they weren't free as i was lead to believe) I picked the car up on tuesday and drove it home and then found that the bonnet would not open, I phoned them up and was told i wouldn't be able to take it back until Saturday, my dad then phoned and i was told to take it back immediatley. ...My Husband purchased a Vauxhall Omega in June 2005 from Arnold Clarks Newcastle Stoke-on-Trent, After 16 days my husband had to take the car back as the engine management light had come on, they had the car for 1 week, and told us that it was now fine. It was fine until February 2006 when again the engine management light came on and the car (It is Auto) went into what they call get you home mode, whereby the gearbox sticks in high gear meaning the car has to be driven manually. It was taken to a Vauxhall garage of Arnold Clarks, and was there for 3 days.
