...There is no other album like Michael Jackson's Thriller even after 25 years it still remains a class above the rest in my opinion. Michael Jackson's Thriller sold in excess of 27 million copies in the USA and Michael Jackson received a ground breaking eight Grammys and 12 nominations in 1984. The album is highly polished and has an excellent sound quality. The album produces a style that is unique to Michael Jackson which has a great dance atmosphere and has a good blend of percussion and keyboards. Tracks like "Billie Jean" and "Beat It" are part of this influential album. I love the way Michael Jackson's Thriller captures you into a world of make believe as the music slows down and picks up throughout the album. No two songs are the same. For not only has Michael Jackson deigned to give us a whole FOURTEEN tracks (as opposed to the usual ten), every single song is a triumph. Michael was born on the 29th of August 1958 and was the seventh child to be born out of nine to Joe and Katherine Jackson. His heritage comes from a working class background. Michael showed an early interest in music along with other members of his family. ...This man needs no introduction, whether you love or hate him there are not many people who have never heard of him. His career has sup parsed 10 years, where his music has stunned and excited many people of all sexes, ages and races. This man first appeared with his four brothers in the first “boy group” The Jackson Five. Michael the youngest of four brothers (at the time) held, and led the group to incredible success, not only musically, but the Jackson 5 also starred in their own Television cartoon show. When describing this success you would assume that Michael Jackson was in his twenties, not the tender age of just nine years old. ...~~~UPDATE~~~ *After writing about the ‘living with Michael Jackson’ op (below) I thought it was only fair to let you all know about the follow up interview. I watched the interview with Michael Jackson tonight on sky one at 9pm,jeeee was I dissapointed. It was presented by Maury provich (a popular American talk show host), and supposed show a different side to Michael instead of the supposed lies by martin bashire (read the rest of my op for details on that). In my opinion there was nothing new on there that wasn’t said on 'living with Michael Jackson' apart from interviews with Michaels parents and his brother which didn’t really say much atol.there was an interview with Michaels ex wife Debbie row but like before she didn’t really say anything that hadn’t been said before. ...A little bit of background to this classic Michael Jackson album: In 1982, Jackson released his second Epic album, "Thriller", which became the best-selling album in music history with more than 60 million copies sold worldwide. The album spawned seven hit singles, including "Billie Jean", which was the first music video by an black artist to receive regular airplay on MTV. "Thriller" spent 37 weeks at number one and remained on the Billboard album chart for 122 weeks. ...Michael Jackson's Bad album was released in 1997. It topped the charts for 6 weeks and released and amazing 7 top ten hits. It has sold 28 million copies to date, and is often voted as one of the best albums ever made in top 100 polls. Track Listings are as follows on the remastered special edition disc: Bad - Tittle track. An amazing song, one of the best from MJ. The Way You Make Me Feel - great tune, makes you want to dance, like many of MJ's hits! Speed Demon - not one of MJ's popular song's but still a good tune. Liberian Girl - slow song, but with a smooth jazz beat! Just Good Friends - featuring Stevie Wondie. Another Part Of Me - often missed of ultimate collections and greatest hits by Michael Jackson - still a very good song. Man In The Mirror - amazing tune. very sad video though. It sold 29million copies around the world so far outselling previous achievments of Bad (28 million). This album I enjoy listening to. It contains one of my favourite songs ever... Black or White.
