Michael Jackson is Invincible

Advantages: The King,, Slash, Great album
Disadvantages: None

...**Introduction** Michael Jackson has become a lot like Marmite with many people around the world over the last few years. Some either Hate him or Like me Love him. (Or rather his Musical legacy). With all the bad press I thought we should focus on something positive and With his huge upcoming stand at London's 02 Arena coming up I thought it was time to review the album that is freshest in the memory of Michael Jackson fans and that album is of course his 2001 album Invincible. **Invincible** It's been eight years since Michael Jackson released this album and that makes his previous gaps between albums seem like an artist who releases an album every year or year and a half where it has always been around four years apart from 1997's Blood on The Dancefloor after 1995's History. Invincible was released by Epic Records and features...

FREE DVDs

Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review

...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them. ∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊ Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Five Go Mad In Devon

Advantages: Ripping read
Disadvantages: Iffy ending

..."Five Boys" is the second novel by British author Mick Jackson. His debut novel "The Underground Man" was nominated for the Booker Prize in 1997. Oddly enough whilst reading this novel I watched the late, great John Thaw in "Goodnight Mr. Tom". I mention this because they both deal with the evacuation of children to the West Country during the Second World War. Incidentally for those, like me, who may not remember it "Five Boys" was a chocolate bar made by Fry's between 1902 and 1976. The wrapping had photographs of a boy with five varying expressions: "Desperation/Pacification/Expectation/Acclamation/ Realisation.... it's Fry", showing how happy kids became when they were given one of these! The edition I read had an eye-catching cover with a dust-jacket, showing the "Five Boys" chocolate wrapping by Fry's and promising your...

Michael Jackson's Thriller

Advantages: Great songs, talent, highly skilled voice, excellent sound quality
Disadvantages: You might not like Michael Jackson

...There is no other album like Michael Jackson's Thriller even after 25 years it still remains a class above the rest in my opinion. Michael Jackson's Thriller sold in excess of 27 million copies in the USA and Michael Jackson received a ground breaking eight Grammys and 12 nominations in 1984. The album is highly polished and has an excellent sound quality. The album produces a style that is unique to Michael Jackson which has a great dance atmosphere and has a good blend of percussion and keyboards. Tracks like "Billie Jean" and "Beat It" are part of this influential album. I love the way Michael Jackson's Thriller captures you into a world of make believe as the music slows down and picks up throughout the album. No two songs are the same. The beat in each song is fantastic giving a good blend of variation throughout the album...

Remembering Michael Jackson

Advantages: Good
Disadvantages: Good

...I see like a lie that this man that we know singing first as a Jacksons Five's Mamber ( Michael Jackson and his brothers and sister musical group) at the end of the sixties and begging and after that like a solist as a singer and a dancer have dead when at 14:00 Pacific Time or 17:00 Easterm Time US times or 22:00 BST he entered to a Los Angeles Hospital because he can breathe being the reason that he had dead but the medical autopsy will tell more about it . Now on a conner of a Hall of fame with a flowers and a candle and record we remember his song first his first song as "I'll be there" that is probably the best song of Michael Jackson at Jackson five group when he were 13 years old and another soul song of this era. At the seventies ending he sang as a solist singer and as a dancer "Don't Stop 'Til You get Enough" that is...

It's Janet... Ms. Jackson If You're Nasty

Advantages: A few big tunes
Disadvantages: Some weaker tracks

...?Control? came out in 1986 and was the third album by Janet Jackson. Although strictly a Pop album, this has Janet switch form here bubblegum years to a more exciting one as R&B, Hip Hop and Swing was brought into here material starting here. Of the nine tracks on this, seven of them when out as singles (most of which went straight into the top ten). 1. ?Control? To kick the thing off you find her breaking free as she moves on from being managed by her father, and having the chance to express this through new, vibrant music, and with the new age sounds of Electronic and Hip Hop being prominent at this time, the novelty of it meant that she had to bring this into her stuff here. It has her concentrate upon speaking of her journey from being fully-obedient to her parents to this now. **Four Stars** 2. ?Nasty? The production this one...

Jackson's Lovers...

Advantages: Quirky, likeable and original. A great collection of addictive tracks
Disadvantages: Perhaps one too many genres thrown into the mix, unsettled and unusual.

...Debut albums are often notable for their diverse, sometimes indecisive mix of styles and themes as the artists struggle to establish themselves and let the listener know what they're all about. This is certainly true of The Sleepy Jackson's first full-length album Lovers; although at times I got the impression that lead singer and commander of mayhem Luke Steele is simply taking us on a roller coaster ride of genres, styles and themes, just for the sheer hell of it. Within the space of the first two songs you quickly realise that someone who can move seamlessly from the George Harrison-esque opener 'Good Dancers' with its winding, whining strings, floating female harmonies and sitar-laden backing, to the stomping glam-rock, Velvet Underground sounding 'Vampire Racecourse' is not going to be easy to categorize. And it would appear...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Whos Bad!!!!! Michael Jacksons Number Ones.

Advantages: A lot of the good old songs he sang.
Disadvantages: his life at the moment.

...I am writing this review and opinion as a fair one, I have my personal opinions on him but this is not what this is about. No matter what has gone on in the past, Michael Jackson is a legend. He even has a monkey named after me lol. My next door neighbour from my last place idolises him and will not hear a bad thing said against him so for Christmas I decided to get her the Michael Jackson Number Ones. Now Ciao, tut, tut, if your trying to catch me out to see if I have got this cd, then I must point out to you that you have the wrong picture on the review heading. Ciao shows it as Michael jumping sideways. This is actually one of the pictures inside the cd and is not the main cover. The CD Cover -------------------- Very basic, white front and back cover with a picture of Michael Jackson with his had on his head...

Michael Jackson - He Made Millions and Blew Billions?

Advantages: The man could do music
Disadvantages: Eccentric is not always acceptable

...Michael Joseph Jackson was born on 29th August 1958 and passed away on 25th June 2009. WHERE WAS I? Thursday 25th June 2009 - approximately 22:30 - at my home chatting with a friend after we?d just come back from a lovely dinner out with another 3 friends. We just been chatting about various things and funnily enough my pal had said that her daughter had tried to purchase some Michael Jackson tickets but the only ones she could track down were in the £400 region on ebay and they didn?t want to pay £1,600 to go see him as a family. My husband called me and said he has some bad news. ?Oh God? I thought in a split second panic ?not the dreaded redundancy?? Moments later I was staring blankly into the phone ? I had just been told that Michael Jackson had died. My husband has never been a fan but knows that I have been a fan...
